This is a good day out. Our niece and nephew were visiting us and we took them here. There are a few ways to get here. We took the train from Zurich main station. This gets you very close to the top. There are a few hundred metres to walk from the station. It's uphill, but not arduous. At the... More

The view from the top is just amazing. If the air is dry and clean, you can easily see the Alps behind Zürich lake, and of course Zürich itself. Absolutely stunning. Train service is very efficient (as usual in Switzerland).

Very good way to spent a sunday. Was easy to reach with 13tram. The up hiking required some strenghts, but all is doable. Many children and seniors go the same path. Day was full of clouds on lake and Zurich, thus nothing competed with beautiful views to Alps!

Easily reachable by train and a short walk the Üetliberg offers the best view onto Zurich and if weather permits the alps. On good days one can even see the notorious mountain trio Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The tower is cool and free, the restaurant not so much.

A short (20 minutes) train ride to Uetliberg followed by a short walk will give you great views of the city of Zurich, Zurich lake and countryside some 1,000m high. Enjoy lunch or just drinks at the hotel at the peak. Avoid going if cloudy or foggy. Highly recommended.

I have two things to add to the other reviews. One is some clarity about the path to the viewing tower. After you exit the train, head away from the station and either go up the stairs or take the road (they lead to the same place). I thought this was a little confusing at first since all the signs... From the Zurich HB it is about a 25 minute trip (usually leaves on track 21/22). The price is included on a ZurichCard. Great views from the Uetilberg stop. However take the extra 10-15 minute walk to Oto Kulm. The views from there (and the viewing platform even further up) are remarkable. You can see the Eiger, If you are... More

Good beginner level trek. Yoy also can get to Uetliberg by train and trek the easier part. The view from the top is nice. Make sure it isn't cloudy or rainy to enjoy the trek.

While in Zurich, my husband and I took the S10 train from the main station to Uetliberg which took about 20 minutes. Right at the train station, there was a food truck with bratwurst, beverages, etc., restrooms, and also a casual restaurant. From the train station, you can walk 10 minutes uphill to the top (kulm) where there is a... More

Uetliberg is a 1,000m mountain a short train ride out of Zurich centre (20 mins). The train takes you up through the suburbs, grass meadows and forest. It is clean and fresh and literally on the city's doorstep. At the end station there is a short walk up to the hotel at the top of the mountain and there's a... More
