The aquarium isn't very large compared to some aquariums in large cities, but considering it's in the upper floors of a large mall, it's quite amazing. The tanks & exhibits are clean and there are some speciality tanks as well. My favorites are the cuttlefish and moon jellies which are both mesmerizing. I have been to this aquarium several times... Just went there not knowing they did renovation. It was nice and clean, lots to see. There is a nice restaurant floor on the 3rd floor so it was very convenient. They have huge mall and Tokyu Hands across the street you can spend all day there.

I went to the Aquarium one typhoon day because there was no way to go out in Tokyo and the Sunshine City Prince Hotel, where I stayed, is part of a huge commercial complex of the same name, so there was no need to go out. I just took the elevator and there it was. It's an interesting place full... More

I don't think this is an aquarium worth making a whole trip for, but its worth being part of your day in you're in Toshima. The place is quite small for an aquarium but it's wonderfully laid out and has a lot to offer. There was a baby otter when I visited and he was absolutely adorable. The penguins are... More

Nice place with indoor and outdoor aquariums. Large enough to keep you busy 2-3h. Various animation make it entertaining for the kids.

Good collection of marine life here. Loved the jelly fishes and sting rays. There was a show of penguins which we missed.

Though this aquarium is small, it is a great place to spend the afternoon. There are many attractions that are enjoyable and exciting, such as the octopus, various breeds of jellyfish and baby sharks that are still waiting to be hatched. There are also very cute baby cuttlefish that change colour. There are many shows, such as the sea lion... More

Wow what a find in the middle of a huge city. Some of the animal exhibits were sad. Penguins, pelicans, little horse were in in tiny and inadequate exhibits. The inside exhibits were just wonderful.

Overall the aquarium is not very large, and can all be toured within 2-3 hours. If you have small children, they will love it. Some parts are inside and some are outside. The outside area is very nice with penguins, sea lions, pelicans and a few others. On the inside has all the usual species, including sharks, rays, jelly fish,... More
