Loved the craziness of this place. You can find great food at every corner. Get lost in the subnade. Have free sampling of food at the supermarkets. Stop and watch people perform. Great place to hang out. More

Bustling and exciting area with the classic bright light view one expects of Tokyo. Hundreds of little bars and eating places to suit all levels of finance and excellent transport available through the train and metro system. More

Shinjuku train station is one of the largest in the world and a VERY busy place. Beautiful architecture in a very modern part of the city. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. Lots of shopping right around the train station. Lots of electronics, but nothing in english and not a lot of english speaking staff in the stores. Take a map with you... More

The west side of the train station is much more staid and NA looking. The east side is funky with lots of bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. Department stores abound in this area More

Shinjuku is an area of incredible contrasts, from serene temples to blazing neon streets. The metro station is the busiest in the world and you can literally get lost inside its maze of shopping malls and seemingly endless amount of exits. Once you do find your exit you're likely to experience somewhat of a sensory overload as thousands of neon... More

You can get lost in Shinjuku as it is massive! There a lot of buildings named the same but are of different category e.g. Isetan Men, Isetan Ladies, OIOI Marui, OIOI Men, etc. Having said this though, I found that access to luxury brands is better in Shibuya or maybe Ginza. More
