If you want a pub go to pub 82 and all restaurants are cheap and other nationality foods are offered if you are not a Japanese food fan

Shinjuku is a must if you are in Tokyo. Be prepared to exhaust yourself and wear comfy shoes and carry an aspirin just in case. I love shopping, but this area is OMG...like you don't want to see another shop for a month or two after this place. If you see something you like, just buy it cause you will... More

Great location to see Tokyo from. Access to a tremendous variety of rail and subway lines, great hotels, shopping and dining. A lot of options within easy walking distance or short can rides as well. Also very close to the largest nighttime entertainment district in Japan. Great fun and practical location to boot.

The Shinjuku station provides easy access to pretty much anywhere you need/want to go. The station itself is a great place to shop and get something to eat, as there are multiple levels dedicated to being shopping and restaurants. Although not a feature unique to Shinjuku, it helped keep our teenage daughters occuoied after a day of sightseeing.

If you want to experience all that Tokyo has to offer in one area, head for Shinjuku. It has all the hustle and bustle and bright lights of the big city, but also quiet little temples. It also has that special calm at the centre of Japanese life. Everyone should experience Shinjuku Station at lest once: a monster of shopping... More

We were staying in Shinjuku at the Keio Plaza Hotel which was basically a 5min walk to the railway station. The suburb(district) is massive with absolutely everything crammed into it. There are bookshops, fabulous departments stores, boutique stores, excellent restaurants from expensive to budget. Walking the streets can be confusing due to the size of the place, all the tall... You can find everything in Shinjuku, first class hotels, fancy restaurant, well-designed cafes with light meals, boutique shops, bookstores with modern deco, broad sidewalks, night clubs, and lots of the most famous restaurants are hidden in narrow alleys, which make them look like ordinary homes. Above all, the traffic system makes it possible for tourists to go around. I visited... More
