...I hope these two places are as incredible, hedonistic and peace loving as they were in June 2002 - Japan is one of my favourite cities ever and forget all the negative Roppongi stuff - it is a blast. Just enjoy every moment.

As a gaijin, I know I'll be paying more than I should be in this club, but I never realized how bad it truly was until my trip last year. Getting into the venue was easy enough, but once inside, it was dark, hot and confusing. I ordered a beer since I couldn't really say many other words that well,... More

If you are in the mood for a mindless night of drink and all things foul - then this is for you!! It was nice to go berserk in the megalopolis of sin! Several floors, different vibes. The best part is they throw you out if you don't have a drink in hand! What a zoo, real fun though...

I went along with the girlfriend & friends and at first it seemed like an OK place with no cover charge. Drinks were cheap but i recommend avoiding the place all together, I spent the whole 3 hours or so getting in-between other blokes and the girls in my party who made it very clear they did not want to... This place is a sham! All drinks are watered down and is a fire hazard waiting to happen. Do not go here unless you are willing to throw good money down the drain

Me and my friends had the worst night ever here in Japan thanks to the Gaspanic. Super crowded, you need to hold a drink in your hand if you want to stay on the dancefloor. Waiters come to check if you have finished or not your drink; if yes, they obligate you to buy another one, otherwise you should get... More

Went with my boyfriend in April 2012. It was Thursday night and all drinks were 300 yen. Have read other reports of drinks being watered down, but mine tasted strong enough! It is gross and seedy but if you want a dance and you don't mind all the smoke, who cares! If you don't like it there are hundreds of... More

The drinks are weak even by Japanese standards, there's a drink minimum just to enter, whole place is full of nigerian men looking shady, service is poor at best; so why even bother with gaspanic?? When you enter a place that has drink minimum but has nothing like show or visuals, then what is it? Extortion? Entrance fee? So call... More

good music but gaspanic shibuya makes the weakest drinks in tokyo. i was there last weekend. the bartender had such a weak pour for 1000 yen drinks. must be a reason why he had such limp wrists... i gave him an extra 500 just to make it a real drink and it still sucked. maybe they're watering down their bottles?... The Gas Panic in Roppongi is a western style bar with DJs. Very similar to DJ dance bars in states. There are bar seats, and tables in sections of the room, and a small dance area. Only some bartenders can take orders in Japanese while most can take it in English. The place is definitely geared towards foreigners. Drinks are... More

Neighborhood Profile
Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.
