Wow, what a view, we went up during the day, but it was so good that we went up again by night!! I had thought to go up the Tokyo tower, but found ourselves outside the world trade buildings, so,did that instead, and am so glad I did, because one of the best bits about the view is being able... We had a great time in Tokyo but I think 3 days is enough to check this place out. (We were there for the skiing in Hakuba which was awesome and would highly recommend that). I'd recommend not to stay in Shinjuku as it's just a big redlight district really. Good for night life if you're into that sort of... More

Great view especially at night (recommend)from the Tokyo Tower. The crepes stand at the base is a must for dessert lovers.

Worth a peek! Stunning views when you've found them. Buildings and an expanse of city and burroughs as far as the eye can see. Refreshing to also see parks and pockets of nature strewn across.

Had a great time here, but it was a little expensive. We also visited the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office, where we admired the same view at the same height and went on a tour all absolutely free.

Staying in Akasaka / Roppongi

Neighborhood Profile
Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.
