Compared to other 'tall building views' in major cities, this one is so cheap and it includes entrance to a very good museum/gallery. The extra 500 yen to go to the outside viewing platform is well worth it, particulary at sunset and if you are a photographer. I experienced THREE really interesting galleries and spent and hour on the roof... More

Akiabara is a flash. A manga world full of strange people that love dress in a funny way. That's crowded and full of music in the streets...

Tokyo is the most safe Capitol in the World. Nowhere were we afried to walk around. Everywhere it is very clean, nothing is spread at the streets etc. People are extremely friendly and helpful, though many only speak a little English, they try . Lots of Things to see, Skryskrabers and Temples a.s.o.

We spent hours walking and touring Tokyo, mostly in the main shopping district. Friendly people, clean and so many great places to eat!

Great views from the Mori Art Museum, where we saw the Star Wars Art exhibit during Golden Week. It was very crowded with long lines, no surprise there. The view is terrific. I think we were on the 52nd floor.

Gives a great view of the city except i think nothing can top the view from the WTC seaside top. The museum here is nice although the place could get really crowded and it is quite pricey. The wtc seaside top gives a better view of the Tokyo tower for 2x leas the price. Tokyo Best views: https://thebackpackingballerina.wordpress.com/2015/04/30/getting-the-best-views-of-tokyo/

A very clean organised City but no character/landmarks/greenery/birds-just efficiency & order. This could be East Germany.

Its one of those Japanese all in one places, there are three museum / gallery spaces. A viewing platform, and a restaurant. The view of Tokyo tower is really good particularly on a clear night. The galleries each rotate through exhibitions - lots of good stuff on the whole.

Staying in Akasaka / Roppongi

Neighborhood Profile
Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.
