While preparing to our Japanese holidays I found Nagomivisit web-site. The idea sounded great and without hesitation my husband and I decided to use this opportunity to get to know Japan closer. The booking process itself is very clear, you know exactly what are the next steps to prepare to this visit, the time limits, etc. I would like personally... More

Breaking the language barrier can be difficult and some might think that Japanese people are cold, but signing up for a Nagomi Visit will bring you to the heart of Japanese hospitality. I traveled to Japan alone and without friends there and my host was extraordinary in bringing me closer to this incredible culture. I would recommend this for anyone... More

Great experience, our hosts Sachiko and Heda were also new to this, and things worked out well. Meet at station as arranged ( just a slight hiccup with directions) then a short walk back to their apartment. Served a beautiful meal in true Japanese style and engaged in some good conversation, albeit with quite a few hand gestures, as our... More

It was a truly heartwarming experience. Our lovely hosts were really friendly, cooked the most delicious dinner for us and took us round Osaka. We had the time of our lives! Would definitely do it again, anywhere in Japan.

What a wonderful evening - a great way to spend our final evening in Tokyo. Our hosts Keiko and Yoshihiko and their daughters Momo and Ahn made us very welcome and had prepared us a wondetful meal, with lots of variety and a little participation on our part. Their daughters entertained us with a hula hoop demonstration and a traditional... More

We had dinner with a lovely family that picked us up from the train station as planned. I would highly recommend the Nagomi Visit web site and especially our host family; Naoko Ogawa-Mukai - English was very good and just the most lovely family and most generous. The surprise farewell at the airport was very cute. Look forward to returning... More

Our Nagomi visit was one of the best things we did in Tokyo - it's invaluable to meet with a local resident and share a few hours with them. Shimomiya-san took me and my son (12 years old) to a supermarket, cooked us lunch at her house, explained the basics of the tea ceremony and then took us on a... More

We enjoyed two Nagomi visits. First in Tokyo with a delightful hostess and one of her friends and their 4 children. We were collected at the station and taken to visit the supermarket and 100 Yen shop, lots of fun discovering all sorts of different foods with two expert cooks! Back at the hostesses apartment we enjoyed preparing some cartoon... More
