We stopped in here after visiting the Imperial Gardens. Our feet were sore and mostly we wanted somewhere to sit down and relax. Luckily, we found ourselves near the elevators which took us up to the 46th floor sky view. We had a drink at the bar in Sorasio and took in the beautiful night lights of Tokyo below. You... More

Great view with clear sky when you take the elevator to 46th floor, but only if you go to their restaurants to see sky tree.

Compared to other areas in Tokyo this place is very average, there are some food options but the area is spread out and not to easy to navigate, we were only here due to staying at the Conrad.

Went here for the Illumination and it didn't disappoint. The place is magical and is worth seeing! One of the best illuminations in the area.

the shiodome complex is huge and has so many shops, restaurants and kid fun zones. It's also the gateway to Shiodome and Shinbashi subway stations so very convenient. Great Yakatori restaurant in the Caretta Shiodome basement level.

Located in a business area, it offers lots of restaurants. However, I don't feel it is worth to waste some time just for visiting.

The Caretta Shiodome is a great shopping complex which comes with an interesting advertising museum on the B1 floor which is worth taking a look. There are a couple of good places to eat here as well. The place really becomes popular from late November until the end of the year when their excellent Christmas illuminations are put up. These... In Tokyo there are many skyscrapers. Some of them have a fee to go to the top. In some there is an expensive restaurant. But if you come to the Caretta building, you can take the elevator to the top (46-47 floors) without asking anything to anyone - and without paying. The elevators have an outside view, so you see... Staying at the Conrad Hotel, this is a very convenient stop. There is a wide range of food options here, from Subway, Mickey Ds, Din Tai Fung and several ramen shops to many other eateries serving Western style meals. My favourite is a small ramen shop tucked away in a corner of B2, near the florists. There are a also... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
