Best view of Tokyo Tower

Breathtaking view of Tokyo city, especially the Tokyo Tower. Didn't get to see Mt Fuji, but was lucky to catch the sunset. Be there early to get a nice spot!

We were on an afternoon tour and our first stop was at the Observation Deck. Definitely worth the stop as it helped us orientate to the city. It was the only opportunity to really see the layout of the area. We could not however see Mt. Fuji from the observation level. After having participated in the remainder of the tour,... More

For a price much lower than the other famous towers, you get a tower which is secluded, private and even romantic. There were maybe 8 other people max at any given time. Add to that the dim lighting and this tower feels like no other (I have been to a lot of 'tallest' buildings in the world). The dim lighting... More

We had a bit of free time before catching the monorail to the airport. We stumbled upon this observation tower and were so happy we decided to end our three weeks in Tokyo with this supervenes view. Thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing surroundings while taking in the 360 degree view of Tokyo with the greatest view of the Tokyo... More

Excelent option to view all Tokyo from the Sky. Is cheap and not so crowded than Tokyo Tower and cheaper than Skytree (650¥ Vs. 3000¥).

I'm sat on the observation deck at 5:30pm waiting for the sun to set and the deck is almost totally deserted. Maybe 5 others in total. The deck circles the whole of the 40th floor and has excellent views of the city and the bay, plus the nearby parks and of Zojyoji Temple. The tower is right next to the... More

A whole view of Tokyo Bay, such as Tokyo Tower and Rainbow Bridge, or rows of houses can be commanded. Evening glow and a night view are the scenes which are being seen from the sky by helicopter.

Located at Hamamatsucho station which is next to Tokyo Bay thus it has beautiful panoramic view of Tokyo Bay. Many vessels go and out.

Well worth getting a great view of the city from the observation floor of this building. You'll only need about an hour for this attraction, but there are great photo opportunities, particularly of the Tokyo Tower. (Probably better views from here that the tower itself)

You get great views of Tokyo Tower, Tokyo bay, the Rainbow bridge and Ferris Wheel plus the rest of the city. It looks great at night but you do have to be very careful of reflections that pop up in your pictures. They do dim the lights so it isn't too bad but look out for exit signs etc that... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
