You get to see the life-sized Gundam here; it's surreal! Am very excited to see its first walk in 2019.

Gundam Front Tokyo is a great place to visit for fans of the Mobile Suit Gundam animated series. You get to see how the model kits are designed and produced and there is a great store with exclusive merchandise. If you aren't familiar with the series however, it is not as fun.

Was a lot of fun. Got to nerd out with some friends, get some good pictures, and payed 300 yen for a little figurine from the toy vending machines.

The entrance is a little underwhelming, but once inside, the "exhibits" and the displays are nice. However, the price there is not the best around in Tokyo / Japan.

This was my dream toy - Gundam, since I am a little boy. Still have a few models in my secret box and show them to my sons once a while. The life-size Gundam is amazing. Too bad we didn't have enough time to venture to the GF at highest level. But we bought a set for my boy to... More

Gundam Front is an exhibit on the 7th floor of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba. It is up to date with the latest gundam series, which should be Gundam Reconguista in G and Gundam Origin. There is free admission that covers an exhibit of many Gunpla on display, some posters. And there is the giant RX-78-2 Gundam behind the plaza... More

I'd only seen Gundam in passing because my younger brother used to watch the shows, but it was really cool to see a life-size statue of Gundam lit up infront of the shopping mall. It was also worth seeing him move to the show screened on the shop wall every hour at night - a must see for any fan... More

I'm a sucker for Robots so having a huge size Gundam in the opening was really nice thing to look at. Inside you can find a cafe that sells all kinds of Gundam stuff, even waffles branded with gundam logos and so on. The whole attraction can be visited quickly, they also have a lot of small scale models of... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
