While the "life-size" RX-78 Gundam statue outside of the Diver City Complex in Odaiba gets the most attention from tourists, there is also an attraction dedicated to the anime franchise / Bandai plastic model juggernaut located in the 7th Floor entertainment area. While the Gundam plastic model museum and the Shops are free for anyone to enter, the rest of... More

In the evening, a lot of tourists came flooding the area. Pretty cool to see and you're entertaining your inner child as you take multiple photos of the giant robot.

Well aside the Gundam there's nothing else to do. Come at the right time as the "movie" is playing, but not really following gundam so got bored after 5 mins and leave. The Gundam can only move his head and open his torso to impersonate the pilot inside.

It's located in Odaiba. We went here directly after we landed in Haneda. It took about 20 minutes by monorail then Rinkai line to get here. The line was stopped at Tokyo Teleport station. Then we took about 10 minutes slow walk (because we just had about 10 hours flight). This Gundam Front is located inside the Divercity Tokyo Plaza.... More

Visit this place in the late afternoon. This statue located in front of diver city mall, it's only 5 mins walk from liberty statue (use the skywalk). The statue itself was huge and lit in the evening, even the trees around the statue also has twinkle light - good for photos. I'm not fan of Gundam and i still enjoy... More

See the character on the sign? Well there is a GIGANTIC statue of him just outside Diver City Mall. It is another Must See Photo Op. You will look like ants on his boot. HA!

Not be missed for Gundam fans: real size Gundam! Location was easy to be found from the Yurikamome train I used to reach Odaiba because it was towering over trees . There was also a gundam shop to stop by. Odaiba was nice for a lazy stroll, especially if you grew up watching Digimon Adventures

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
