This is just a big Sony shop (aka - showcase), with high prices. The building is centrally located in Ginza and the several floors of the shop can be best accessed by elevators. We were surprised not to find all the latest models of certain Sony products for sale at this store. Still, worth a 30-60 minute visit, if you... More

It's like a shop, but they don't even have too many products, I remember trying to find a cover for my new Z3 compact... the had not. There's a cinema at the top, not much else to mention.

This place was just amazing where you can try before you buy products. Great food and drinks at very reasonable prices at the pub on the ground floor just inside the foyer near the lifts.

It is a place very easy to find. The wait place where is the first in Ginza. It is the place that is convenient for the wait with the foreigner in particular‼️

Yes, we made our way to Sony and spent a few hours drooling over the stuff they had on display. Saw some neat future stuff and had a chance to speak with some nice developers. When they found out I am an American engineer, I was accepted like family. On the way out, some young, model looking lady gave me... More

We passed through the Sony building heading to a restaurant & found it to be like any other Sony store, however the stairs at a side entrance were amazing as they were musical, so you could hop up & down and play some sort of tune...although the crowds of people make it difficult to spend more than 30-40 seconds on... The truth is that we have been brought up with Sony products - something that was a status symbol and universally considered as a valued possession, especially in early eighties. So, we were excited and had almost dreamy imaginary expectations before going to a place that built those awe-inspiring products. In that sense, it was a let-down as most of... More

If you're a Sony fan-boy or just want to check out the latest offerings from the tech giant, this is your place. Mostly you'll find computers and cameras on display that you can play with. Don't expect to find the latest video game stuff.

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
