Imagine ( P500) $12.50 for a bottle of water, One you can buy in USA for $2. the Philippines was talked into over-charging resort prices for sub-standard service and below par food. this place is more expensive than similar resorts in USA. not worth it. nice relax but you will overpay - even at American standards. for sure x10/ at... We had a short but sweet stay in this island, part of our outreach work in Cadiz City. The waters and surroundings were very clear and clean, except for the garbage that got stuck on the thorny roots of some trees by the beach. Maybe the administrator of this island can do some regular cleaning of it. It's an eyesore,... More

I visited Lakawon Island with my wife and sister. We had two separate cottages - one for my sister and one for us. We were theonly people staying there. The water was warm and the food excellent. I asked for squid cooked in ink and the staff provided it fresh. There is a little fishing village at the end of... More

We found our trip to Lacawan to very relaxing. The women who greeted us before we got on the boat was friendly and funny. The island itself was desserted. The water was crystal clear and very cool. We did order some food but found the price decent and the service just a liitle slow but understnadable since cooked to order.... More

1. The beach is dirty-> There are lots of trash stuck on the roots of some trees by the beach [probably got there when high tide]. 2. Expensive food-> we had corned beef meal [with sunny-side-up and a cup of rice] for breakfast as soon as we got there. It costs P140 [approx. US$3.26] which is not too bad except... More

We had the island to ourselves and it was nice. The wind was blowing the whole time we were there so it was not too hot and humid. We were only in the water for 30 minutes though, as the waves kept us from going away from the shore. We also had grilled squid and crab cooked in coconut milk, which... More

It was quite wavy on the day we went to the Island but it was worth it. The water was clean although the waves were big but we enjoyed jumping over them :-). I couldn't find access to the community inside the island. Food was expensive and service can be bad. The waiter kept forgetting our requests. More

This place could be awesome if whoever runs/owns it makes some huge but necessary improvements. This island has a lot of potential and has the making of a great resort. The island is small, but it is surrounded by crystal clear water, white sandy beach, and beautiful reefs. So if that sounds good to you, then perhaps the rest of... More

Just came from Lakawon two days ago and it was an overnight stay. What I liked about Lakawon is that the water was exceptionally clear and has this bluish-jade color. When you take a dip in it, you'll feel that its really cold and clean. Yes, it is clean. Just a note to people who's willing to take a dip... More
