The museum showed Balenciaga's contributions to fashion ans still relevant to this day. My husband was so taken with the video presentation and I enjoyed the clothes' history of materials and descriptions of the cut and pattern.

Great excursion for fashionistas! My wife and I made a trip to this place/museum as we love fashion and we weren't disappointed! Cristobal Balenciaga was born in Getaria and the museum is a fine tribute to him. Listen to the introductory video to understand his importance to the world of fashion and the impact he had on every couturier in post war couture houses. Even the building itself, high on the hill above Getaria merits ia visit.

Like much of Spain, style is very important! The clothing collection is really wonderful. The building and layout of the exhibit is something to behold. Top-rated!

Bit of an odd experience to visit this museum. The building is magnificent but seems out of place in a little fishing village. The content is spread across a number of galleries in a complicated layout. Well organised but not a lot to draw a crowd. Good if you are a fashion tragic but not one for the family. Café... More

I really enjoyed this. Lots of different spots to walk around but doesn't go on too long. Interesting building.

This museum is a homage to Balenciaga. The building itself is a work of art. It's only upon visiting you realise how important and influential Balenciaga is on modern fashion and trends. In short a lot of what we wear today derives from his creations.

Both the museum building and the collection are stunning! We were surprised to find such an impressive building in the small and quiet town of Getaria, but having in mind the importance of Balenciaga's work and the mark he left on fashion, it is to be expected that his hometown pays him respect in such a manner. Both premanent and... More
