Nice views once you get to the top. Some parts steep, A bit windy, so would recommend a couple of layers of clothing.

You can visit the castle either with the elevator (you have to pay € 2,70 for it) or with the car (enough parking space: parking & entrance for free!). Once up the hill and on the walls, you have a breathtaking view over Alicante, the Rambla and the harbor. This was amazing!

Spent an hour or so wandering around the castle today. We got the lift up which is 2.70 euros or free if you are over 65. A small shop, café and loos in the grounds. Lots of info on the exhibits but no English translations. Well worth visiting just for the views.

My friends and I walked up to the castle on a nice sunny day and it was absolutely amazing. The walk up the mountain is slightly tiring, but the views you get of the city, the mountains and the ocean are breathtaking. I would gladly walk up there every day if I could. Upon arrival at the actual castle itself,... More

Since living in Alicante, I have climbed up this castle at least once a week. The sunset views are gorgeous and it really puts the city I to perspective. I love going up to the castle and looking out to the sea. It great for creativity, and getting in touch with happiness. I am always happy once getting to the... More

If you don't wish to take the walk up to the castle, you can access it by a lift, which you enter through a long tunnel, from the sea front. It costs to use the lift, but the experience is well worth it. Once up, you can take your time, wandering around exploring. There are places to stop off for... More

Visit the castle to get great views, enjoy a coffee, visit the exhibitions, listen to free concerts and stroll around. The elevator to the castle is free after 7pm.
