I found a brochure about his place. My daughter (age 5) really likes dinosaurs. We spent about 3 hours here, but could have probably spent another 2-3 hours easily. It took us most of the time to get through the whole place, plus we spent about another 30-45 minutes in the indoor play area. There are 4 movies in the... More

We didn’t really have any expectations when we decided to take the 1.5h drive from Luxembourg to Saarland. Our two boys are mad about dinosaurs, so even if it would have been a scruffy old exhibition, we probably couldn’t go wrong. But did we get a surprise! This place is excellent. The exhibition was very informative and there was something... More

This started off very slow. There was a movie (only in German) & then a bunch of pictures with labels (again in German but there was a translation machine which basically read the labels in English). There were a couple giant puzzles that kids could put together. But then the good stuff started. There was a rain forest area where... More

A beautifully designed journey through the history of the Earth. You start with an interesting 3D movie then you go through different scenes with huge animated Dinosaurs and sounds from the different ages. The audio guide is rich with information in English and German. Little kids have a nice indoor playground that they can enjoy while you are enjoying the... More

We went during family days with a group of friends. It was a great day out for all of our families. The movies play in german and they have headsets available in English. The exhibits are informative and nicely put together. We really enjoyed the time travel exhibits.

We went with our 3 years old daughter and she enjoyed with the dinosaurs and the space shuttle room. Fair price for all the amusement it has. At the end of the tour, there is a nice huge playground with t-rex shape. The only bad, the food is not so good (unless you like fried potatoes in many shapes) and... More

Das Prehistorium was excellent fun, I took 2 8 years old's and a 4 year old. One of the older children is I'm sure a world authority on Dinosaurs :) and he loved it, as did the other kids. The exhibit takes you from the Cambrian era through time to the end of the Cretaceous and is a mixture of... More

My kids (5 & 7) love this place - the dinosaurs are thrilling, especially the T-Rex! The information is interesting and informative. The children love to run around the soft play place afterwards too! A great family day out.

We visited here during July and loved it. The animatronics are amazing! There is a very cool place to hear and almost feel what a flash flood would be like. The museum offers hand held devices that you punch the number of the exhibit in to hear it in the language you selected. The parking is excellent, with lots of... More
