We stumbled on the Chateau Gaudrelle winery driving back to our hotel after a day of visiting chateaux. We were met at the gate by the owner, who was very accommodating given the late hour (it was about 5:30pm), and started us on a little tour of their wine caves. He then had us join another group in the tasting... More

We were three couples that visited Chateau Gaudrelle on Thursday 15th of march. Two of the couples did not speak French so we were looking for an English spoken wine tasting. We arrived at the Chateau after 18hours, but despite our late arrival Charles Morand was very friendly and welcoming. Charles spoke perfect English and made a very good guiding... More

Chateau Gaudrelle was recommended to us by the chateau where we were staying. We had a great visit lead by Alexandre, the owner. He explained everything very thoroughly, was very knowledgeable and extremely personable. The wines were fantastic from start to finish. We bought one of each, and wished that we would have bought more! We highly recommend a visit... More

Owner was wonderful and while, he spoke no English we spoke French with him. The primary international host, David Moreau, took over and conducted the tasting in both English and French. GREAT wines. More

Chateau Gaudrelle was recommended to us by a friend who is a wine importer. We had a great visit lead by Charles. He explained everything very thoroughly, was very knowledgeable and personable. The wines were fantastic from start to finish. We could have bought one of each, or more! We highly recommend a visit to this winery for anyone in... More

The tour guide is bilingual, which for my party, visiting from TX and WY, was a major plus. The town that it is near is great and the accessibility was super easy. Highly recommended! More

We stopped by here on our tour of the Loire Valley and absolutely loved this place. It is a small winery that is family run. They produce only white wine, many of which are sparkling. They are very passionate about their wine and it shows in its quality. We were given a tour of the cellar, which is in a... More

If you're in Vouvray, you must visit the winery at Chateau Gaudrelle in Rochecorbon (the next town over). Their Vouvrays run the gamut from sparkling brut to dessert wine sweet and they are ALL just wonderful. Our congenial host Charles spoke perfect English (that he learned playing rugby in New Zealand) and gave us a quick tour of their cellars.... More
