We went mid week and had the tour guide to ourselves, it is well worth a visit if you are interested in WW2 and planes. Most planes were partly stripped down for servicing etc which was good as it allowed you to see how they were constructed and how cramped it was for the crews.

we went for sighting of "Thumper", the RAF Lancaster. We we'rent disappointed as parked proudly in a hanger along with the rest of the Battle of Britain Memorial flight was our Lanc. Each plane had panels and in Thumpers case, engines missing due to a winter overall. We paid for a guided tour which was well worth it as Len,... More

As my father served in WW2 with 106 and 83 pathfinder squadron bomber command at RAF Coningsby, RAF Metheringham and elsewhere this visit has been looked forward to for a very long time. It lived up to my expectations. Our hanger guide brought the history of each aircraft to life in a really meaningful way. When in the area visit... More

We paid for the memorial tour of the twin lancasters .... And we was not disappointed... A great gentleman took us round, and oh what admiration he had for these flying machines... A lovely little tour with a good knowledge of how and what and who ! Well worth a visit anytime. You may be lucky and see the planes... More

We had missed the anniversary flyover at Derwent Dam so decided to visit Coningsby as that's where I read one of the Lancasters were based. It was about an hour drive from where we live, through some lovely countryside and the weather was on our side so couldn't ask for a better journey. The place itself is attached to the... More

The only way to get to the planes was by going on a guided tour. Myself and my husband aren't too keen on guided tours. We like to look at thing in our own time and pace not been told what to look at and when. So we spent 10 minutes looking round the free bit and left. I went... More

This has got to be one of the best hour-and- a-half's I have ever spent!!! Great guide, so knowledgeable and a fascinating insight into the aircraft - plus an excellent 'mini-museum' full of interesting stuff and wonderful photography to take up another hour or so - and only 5 minutes fro Tattershall Castle.... so Museum in the morning and Castle... Excellent in all respects. The guide was brilliant and encouraged group interaction. Would love to visit again. The only downside was merlin, shame it didn't serve food a little longer.

A fantastic visit - able to be close up to such historic aircraft. We visited the Lincolnshire Lancaster Association day - a wonderful end of season party with a great display.
