We only called in mid afternoon, and were just in time to join a group about to tour the museum. The lady at the desk made sure that we didn't have to wait for the next tour. Lots of lovely Spitfires and Hurricanes, and the icing on the cake was seeing the Lancaster roll out, fire up and taxi to... More

Excellent, informative guided tour of the hangar by a retired pilot with plenty of amusing - and moving anecdotes. Wonderful to see the Memorial Flight Lancaster up close having seen it overhead many times. It's incredible to think that out of 7,377 built, PA474 is one of only two Lancasters in airworthy condition (the other being the Canadian one that... More

For such a reasonable cost we had a good 2 hours of close up views. The guide knew so much about the planes and gave us such a lot extra. The cafe did not look much, but the food was great. The topping to the capachino was a surprise! We got there at 10 and so got the first tour... More

So looking forward to this and not disappointed in any way. The ladies behind the desk were charming and friendly and our guided tour was just brilliant. A chance to get very close to this amazing aircraft that pay tribute to all the young men who served in the second world war.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Lovely people in the cafe and good food too. The guide was brilliant, I learnt loads of things I didn't know. The museum had some great personal stories about the airmen who fought in WWII.

A brilliant tour of the hanger and aircraft, unlimited photo opps and a very knowledgeable and gently humorous guide made the day. I took some American guests there and safe to say they were totally blown away by the experience. A word of caution however - if you go off season, the aircraft will all be there, but usually in... Anyone with even the slightest interest in aviation and history will absolutely love this place. The guided tours are taken by people totally devoted to passing on their passion for these planes and what the memorial flight stands for. They deliver a fascinating insight into the history behind each plane along with numerous anecdotes, both humorous and amazing in equal... More
