Excellent thought provoking and very informative tour of the BBMF Hanger. Our guide was excellent and made sure we all (children and adults alike) had a good understanding of the history and stories of each of the aircraft. My children (6, 9 and 12 ) all enjoyed it and so did I (not sure about the wife though). Would recommend... More

As part of a battlefields tour, this was an important stop and we were not let down. The guides were knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Interesting stuff in the gift shop.

First visited here in 2005. Have been back several times and as we live the best part of 150 miles away it shows how highly we rate it. The visitor centre has evolved over time and is now a veritable mine of information, particuarly with regard to the Battle of Britain. For a modest fee (£7 adult, £5.60 concession) you... More

I attended on the day that the Canadian Lancaster returned home following its tour of the UK, as I arrived the BBMF Lancaster was towed from the hangar and followed by the Canadian one (or vice versa). For this reason the hangar was closed on that day, hence my need to return. However this experience alone warrants the 5 star... More

An absolute must for any aircraft lover, great day with friendly, informative guides who are as happy to make anyone visit an enjoyable one. Getting close to some of these amazing aircraft was an amazing thing for my grandmother and her happiness was a joy to behold. Keep up the good work and thank you for an amazing time.

This was a chance to see behind the scenes of a professional operation. It was fun having a snack in the cafe listening to the pilots discussing flying the Lancaster and the 'new boy' fretting over his test flight. The tour lasted a good 90 minutes and was conducted by a very knowledgeable and engaging guide. Bearing in mind that... More

Full marks to the museum linking in with the operational raf base. Guided tours if about 9 people by enthusiastic guides giving various anecdotes of the operation of the planes. We were fortunate to see spitfire hurricanes Lancaster and Dakota not forgetting trainer chipmunk planes!

Take the hangar tour to see the aircraft ! By itself the free museum is not particularly worthwhile. You can buy a Spitfire keyring !
