I first visited the BBMF back in June and was a bit disappointed because the Lanc was stuck in France after a technical issue during the D-Day commemorations. Off-season you don't have that potential problem and you will see the aircraft undergoing winter maintenance, which is fascinating. An added bonus if, as I did, you arrive at about 13:00 on... More

One of the best days out in Lincolnshire, if not the UK. Viewing these iconic aircraft, even when stripped for winter servicing, is awesome. When you see what the pilots had to fly compared to today's modern aircraft ,you realise how brave they were. The guides are brilliant, friendly, knowledgable and they interact with all, including the youngsters. The engineering... More

A half term trip with cousins aged between 5 and 12 years, boys and girls. This was a fascinating working facility full of history and information. It was very well laid out with lots of factual information and wonderful old aircraft. I felt it was better for the boys than girls. There were also quite a few elderly visitors who... More

Took my family who were visiting us and having been before I had to say we were disappointed. The group in front of us were incredibly slow which meant lots of hanging round for us and there were 8 young children in our group who were getting increasingly bored. The guide although helpful really didn't explain things and because they... More

Without doubt one of the greatest disappointments of my life. A privilege to be allowed into a hangar full of history, but ruined by the rank amateurish compulsory guided tour. We had two guides, and they were simply dreadful. Confusing and contradicting information which was largely irrelevant, delivered by apparently untrained random ex service personnel who sought to outdo each... More

Superb guided tour of the hangar with so much information about both BBMF and history of these specific aircraft. Our guide was a former Lancaster P1 and had an amazing amount of knowledge and expertise so we were very privileged to have him as our guide. The Visitor Centre displays are excellent and show a brief history of the importance... More
