A highly recommended visit. The staff were all very good, including the lady who runs the, albeit basic, cafe. The guide, Tony, was very knowledgeable and informative. I'm an enthusiast and still learned some new things. A big bonus was seeing a Typhoon going through its aerobatic paces during our visit. Tony broke off the tour so we could go... More

We struggled with what to see in South Lincs. we went on Trip Advisor, and we were very happy with lots of options. The one we settled on was Battle of Britain Memorial Visitors Centre. First of all it was easy to find. Lots of sign posts telling us that we were near Coningsby. When we got there we were... More

The BBMF is located at RAF Coningsby which I'd very much a working station. The visitor centre whilst adequate has little atmosphere, whereas the heritage centre a few miles away in East Kirkby sets the scene with period uniforms background music and that really works. Our guide was excellent and knew the story of each aeroplane and its pilot (s).... More

So we ended up at BBMF visitors centre by a curious chain of events. Utterly delighted to have done so. Entrance fee including the tour was extremely good value. The tour is posted as around about 90mins but our guide and group were happily chatting away with questions for much longer. At no time did we feel rushed and that... More

We were 4 golfing pals looking for a different way to spend the afternoon while in Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire. By chance I had seen mention of the BoBMFVC in a local magazine and suggested we might pay a visit there. A really good call. The visitor centre was interesting in itself but the tour of the hangar where the... More

An opportunity to see the work being done on Hurricanes, Spitfires and the last remaining Lancaster, They are being maintained at the RAF base by the RAF and some of the guides have some fantastic stories to tell. When I was there I was able to witness a practise display between a Spitfire and Phantom. Amazing! A must see for... More

For aviation buffs, war commemoration or just a visit to a working museum (this is sited on an actual functioning RAF base) there is something to interest everbody. Children will find it fascinating and the well conducted tour of WW2 aircraft will give an insight into what it took to be a pilot and flight crew on a variety of... More

We visited the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre just by chance last week. What a day unbeknown to us the aircrew where getting ready for the summer display season, so all the pilots where having to practice. They where flying the Dakota, Spitfire and Hurricane. Also practicing for the display season was the Typhoon's from RAF Coningsby. Apart... More

What a fantastic day out, my little boy could not contain himself and wanted to see everything twice, he wants to live there!! and on the adult side it makes you proud to be British and that so many people has spent so many hours on development and maintenance.
