This is an absolutely wonderful place to visit. It is fascinating the guides are informative and friendly with a real passion for what they do. All the exhibits in the visitors centre are well labelled with good information and history. The hangar tour is an absolute must and a thrill to get so close to these wonderful and historic planes... You could not ask for a better way to spend a couple of hours. The guides are all knowledgeable, you get to stand feet away from some classic aircraft all against the backdrop of a frontline RAF base. Stay and watch the Typhoons coming and going. My biggest tip would be go in the winter, when the planes are getting... More

As we were in the area we decided to take the opportunity to visit and I'm really glad we did. Neither of us are into aircraft or WW2 but our guide made the tour enjoyable and very informative. I particularly liked the fact that he spoke about real people, the pilots that flew the planes, with photos and newspaper articles... More

This is not a tourist attraction as such as it is a working airbase for Eurofighters and the like which makes an interesting backdrop. The facilities are fairly minimal and rather tired but what lifted this to 5 stars was our tour guide who gave a riveting commentary on the Dakota, Lancaster bomber, hurricane & spitfires on display. The day... More

A group of us stopped off here to do the hanger tour on the way home from the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby and it was well worth the visit. The Lancaster wasn't there but the guided tour is well worth the money as is just being close to so many classic aircraft.

4 stars because when we visited planes were being removed for air displays I think If i had visited on a normal day 5 stars would have been the order of the day. Tours which are very informative and professional however again because of the movement of planes on the day there was a lot of noise and the presenter... More

We are an over 60s history group based in sheffield. 40 of us have just visited this centre. Without exception we enjoyed half a day there. The staff were very helpful and the guides brought each aircraft to life with the stories of the brave pilots who flew them. The meal was lovely ready for us and inexpensive, lee and... More

We arrived early afternoon and had a half hour wait for the next guided tour of the hangar. I suspect that the enjoyment of this attraction could be influenced quite a lot my the guide that takes you around the hangar. Thankfully our guide, Mike, was excellent and the hour to an hour and half tour easily became two hours.... More

Been here a number of times with the kids and they love it. A great lace to learn about these amazing planes and see how it was in those days.

What a fantastic visit.... Lanc Spit, Hurricane all three at once and beautifully maintained. An excellent museum and shop. Guided tour fascinating and volunteer helpers so knowledgeable. Pleasant tea shop. So much history all in the one place. What brave men flew from here. Thanks
