If you are interested in World War Two and aircraft, then this is a great place to visit. We booked a guided tour and Tony our guide was very knowledgeable as he took us around the BBMF Hanger. We were very lucky as most aircraft were in the hanger.

This is one of the places that I have wanted to visit for a number of years and finally got the opportunity to do so. I wasn't disappointed! I have been fortunate enough to have a look inside the Lancaster when it visited the place I work at a few years back so the BBMF are no strangers. However, there... More

Very interesting Coningsby Memorial Visitor centre, You are taken to the Flight Hanger to marvel at the Spitfires and Lancaster Bomber with your tour guide. Ours was brilliant telling us various stories of flight commanders and crew. The tour last around 1.5 - 2 hours and is well worth a look!

I visited Coningsby for the first time this week to shoot some typhoon photography without actually much knowledge of the shop and hanger run by bbmf on the airfield, a couple of guys i got talking to on the fence advised me it was worth a look ,and as its a 5 hour round trip for me and as the... I have been to Duxford and various other aircraft 'museums' but none are a patch on this place. We were able to see close up the only surviving airworthy spitfire from the battle of Britain, our guide had a few stories to tell which was pretty emotional. The actual display itself is small in comparison but the thing that sets... More

I came to visit as my Dad was a a navigator in WW 2 and wanted to gain more of a view as to how these aircraft changed our history. I thought the tour guide was good and gave a very good overview of the history of the aircraft and the part they played in this theatre of war. The... More

Well organized no shortage of interesting facts and stories from people who really love and know what they are talking about. Highly recommend a visit for all ages. Even if your not really a massive aviation fan you cannot fail to become immersed in the wonderful history of the aircraft.

I've been coming here for many years and have had a walk around the visitors centre and gift shop a few times but never actually taken the guided tour. (I will some day) My main reason for visiting here is to watch the RAF Tornado and Typhoon Fighter jets taking off and landing. It's a fantastic day out and being... More

. We had a great guide, an experienced veteran RAF pilot with loads of hours under his belt and you could tell. We went to look and take photos of aircraft of yesteryear, but ended up almost feeling the history of,not only the aircraft, but also the pilots that gave their lives to protect us. Very interesting walk through museum... More
