The best season is autumn during colored leaves, but spring-summer is also beautiful. The trail runs along the river with very clean water and is roughly divided into three areas: quiet forrest near the lower end, beautiful streams in the middle, and waterfalls near the upper end of the trail. The trail is near the water level, so you can... More

Have been here 3 times now, and love it every time. It is best in autumn, but summer is lovely too. Great for a long, easy hike, even with young kids. There are places to stop for picnics, and a bus stop when you get too tired.

This is a nice stream with a lovely walking path. the most popular area is near the beginning and the end. In the middle, though not as spectacular, is still beautiful and lovely to walk. Definite for nature lovers

Gorgeous views of water flows, waterfalls, plantations in fall season of 14km long. although there are shuttle buses letting people hop-on/off, it's better to drive to various photo spots. pls note private cars are prohibited during certain weekends and holidays due to huge crowds.

The peak of traffic-jam was over ,so smooth traffic and few people were even though strolling along the stream.we were driving a car seeing left and right ,because a lot... More

There are quite a few buses to Lake Towada. The cost of the entire trip to towadako is 3090yen which can be paid on the bus or you can purchase a ticket before boarding. However, if you are at the bus terminal station, the bus driver would want an advance ticket purchase. There are various stops along the way and... More

beautiful in autumn. We parked the car at Nenukuchi, took the bus to around Ishigedo and walked 2.5 hours back. Easy walk. The only thing to be careful is the passing cars when the trail is on the main road.
