Photos will tell you how gorgeous this bodega it is, but it's worth seeing in person. Marques de Riscal offers a 90 minute tour in several languages (wine tasting included) for about 10 bucks a pop. Make sure to stick around for extra glasses and chorizo. You'll get a pretty view without breaking the bank.

I sincerely expected something better, definitely a guide and make you have a great tour or can make you have a soso tour, it all depends on the guide. Our guide was OK, but with the fabulous wines and hotel, he could have easily done a much better job!!

Not much more to say. The tasting room is modern and has a great selection of the wineries offerings.

This is one of the oldest wineries in the region with the architectural gem created by Frank Gehry and definitely worth a trip but after visiting a lot of wineries (maybe 10) during our tour this was a wonderful tour but felt commercialized and our tour guide seemed a little aloof and not too friendly.. . .we enjoyed R. López... More

During the tour we were able to see the sorting of the grapes and even taste them. There was also a very informative video on the wine making process which should be shared on youtube! However we believe that the groups are too big and therefore it looses its charm. Furthermore our cranky tour guide looked like she did not... More

We visited several wineries in the Rioja wine region, and Marques de Riscal was by far our favorite. Yes, it is a very large winery but the tour that was provided was very impressive and our tour guide (Marta?) was extremely knowledgeable. She explained the history of the winery, how the wine is produced, showed us around the cellar and... More

We stayed at the hotel which we loved but our experience was enhanced by the excellent tour. Our tour was especially poignant since they had begun to pick grapes that very day. We were able to taste the grapes, see the hand sorting and observe the crushing. Our tour guide was an excellent representative of the vineyard and we thoroughly... More
