Good tour but too much video watching and no nice books, in English, to buy. A vintage chart would have been good in the shop.

We had a great and extensive tour of this winery. We were there at the end of October and the leaves in the vineyards were beautiful ranging from green to orange to red. We stayed one night in the beautiful hotel.

We visited this winery while staying at the Gehry-designed hotel on-site, and opted for a tour in English. The tour group was fairly large (maybe three dozen). The tour itself is comparable to many other winery tours we have taken at other wineries around the world, in terms of what you see and how it is conducted. There are several... More

The winery, dating back to 19th century is one of the largest in the La Rioja region. The tour takes you through the production line, the wine cellars including a vault storing selected vintage bottels since its establishment. It also provides lots of interesting information both in the context of wine making and the entire region. Better to visit in... More

Michelin should review this restaurant again. The food taste does not deserve a star. Service was not great and the wine was 10 times over market price. We asked why to the manager and he couldn't give the proper explaination. We paid €500 for Baron de Chirel 1994 where as the market price average €60. I would not recommend anyone... More

This is my second wine tour here. The tour is very interesting. Our guide was enthusiastic and made the tour very enjoyable.

A very nice tour of the wine making facilities. We were fortunate, they had just started harvest and we were able to watch them bring in the grapes and process them. The tour guide was quite informative about the history and the process. The views of the Ghery designed hotel and restaurant were awesome.

Built by the same Architect as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, you will either love it or loath it. A hotel, winery and restaurant all wrapped into one. I thought myself although an amazing structure that it was out of place in a small town of Elciego. The taster menu was worth trying, out on the terrace.

Small things make the difference between being great or simply good. This hotel is good, without doubt, but no longer great as it was when we first stayed here in 2007. Just as fine shirts, suits and rugs fray at the edges, this hotel is fraying around the edges. It has the luxury of a world class building architecture, remote... More

The City of Wine offers much more that a wine tour and tasting experience. The architecture (Frank Gehry wow), the gardens and shops are an incredible settling for the Michelin Star restaurant. If you can gain access to the top floor the hotel restaurant the views are incredible. Look for the storks nesting on the cathedral spires.
