Description: We specialise in private, custom wine tours in Barolo, Barbaresco and...
We specialise in private, custom wine tours in Barolo, Barbaresco and Roero in Northern Italy to introduce you not only to the spectacular wines of Piemonte but also the cuisine, culture and history of this beautiful but often neglected part of Italy. Not an obvious choice of destination as little English is spoken but this means fewer tourists and probably cheaper than Toscana (Tuscany). We are expert providers of “local knowledge “and provide an English speaking service to ensure that you never waste a moment of your precious leisure time.

My wife and I travelled to Barbaresco for Easter and did a wine tour with Robert through the Piermonte region. We found Roberts knowledge of the wine and area excellent. For lunch we were treated to a 3 course lunch and a bottle of Barolo with Leslie and Robert. We stayed at the Cassa Boffa as it was recommended to... More

Robert & Leslie know their wine and the wine makers! They are welcomed by all the regions busy winemakers, who take the time out to give the guests a wine experience. We also got to hike the gorgeous countryside. This was the heart of our 14 day Italy travel.

We found Robert & Leslie through TripAdvisor and arranged to tour Piedmonte with them over the course of one week. I adore Nebbiolo, but my wife's interests are more towards sparkling wines and truffles. We both love good food. Basically, we had a lot of interests to which to cater. Robert & Leslie addressed our requests and interest completely in... More

Last Fall, We had the good luck & good fortune to spend a few days with Robert, wife,Leslie, and dog Kotta in the Piemonte region of Barolo and Barbaresco. Pulling up roots in Minnesota, and moving to Nieve about 9 years ago, they have become the "go to couple" for a great Piemonte wine and food experience. Knowledgeable, with a... More

If you have any interest in Italian red wines, particularly those from the Piemonte region in Northern Italy, be sure you book yourselves some time with Robert and Leslie of Travel Langhe. From the moment Robert met us at our hotel in Neive, we knew we were in for a great day. Not only is he personable and a good... More

This review is a little late as our party met David and Leslie for a glorious day of wine tasting in the spring of 2013. The experience consisted of three smaller producers with outstanding wines. We were afforded the luxury meeting the winemakers and tasting with them. David and Leslie's tour included a stop for lunch in La Morra that... More

We had high expectations of Barolo and Barbaresco. But our expectations fell way short of the marvelous day that Robert and Leslie showed us. We received private tours of smaller private wineries, drank phenomenal wine directly with the winemakers, crawled through wine tanks, and generally had an unparalleled wine tasting experience. This was supplemented by the tours of the countryside... More

Thanks for all the TripAdvisor reviews which introduced me to Robert and Leslie. It has been an awesome day-trip. While all the other reviewers have already made the valuable and exciting remarks about the experience with wine and truffle, I'd see the uniqueness in Robert and Leslie being an American couple living in Italy for quite some time - knowing... A day spent with Robert in the beautiful Piedmont area is a unique experience. Robert is so knowledgeable about wines and the area in general. We had a superb lunch at a restauranr run by an adorable couple and the food was divine. We would recommend anyone wishing to experience the wines of Italy and in particular Barolo wine to... More

You are a tourist peeking into the picturesque lives of nebbiolo- and truffle- obssessed locals, but on Leslie and Robert's perfectly paced tour, you never feel touristy. Nothing is rushed. Stories of Medieval rivalries fade seamlessly into dried red fruit aromas of wine tastings. Robert takes you to hilltop spots where the fog seems to linger just for you. He... More
