Sibu has a rich and interesting past and culture, if you interested in finding out more, then this is the place for you. It is presented in easy readable bite size bits as you stroll through the history that is Sibu. It is well worth the small amount of time to do the circular tour.

Sibu is very sleepy town and there is not much to do there but the museum is one of the best we visited in Malaysian Borneo. It it small but contains some great exhibits.

This heritage centre must be one of the smallest that I've ever seen Doesn't really preserve that much of heritage. You'll get a glimpse by doing a simple read up via the net. There are small souvenir shops along this heritage centre but nothing really unique or interesting to shop from there.

Seriously nothing here to see. Most shops are closed. A juice bar or snack stall is the only operating business.

Shut, didn't give opening times. We went Monday morning 11am. Disappointed as we wanted to find out more about sibus culture. The locals didn't know why it was shut

This centre gives you a good insight into the origins and history of Sibu and Sarawak. There was no fee and there is a sign out book so you go down in its history too. Good hour spent.

Although it is only a small museum, it has the whole history of Sibu starting from the indigenous peoples to modern times. If you want to know the history of Sibu and its people this is the place you should visit first. Located right in the heart of the city.

The Sibu Heritage Centre is in the middle of Sibu Town. Here you can see the history of Sibu from the earliest immigration of the Chinese to Sibu and Sarawak under the rule of the Rajah Brooke and to being the colony of the British. There are many pictures of old Sibu. At the same time you can see the... More

The top floor houses a "mini museum" that offers a glimpse into Sibu's past. You get to see belongings of different races and bits and pieces of history. Is it the best? Nope. But it's the closest you get to finding more about Sibu's past (notwithstanding the Internet). Is it worth a visit? Definitely.
