We had been wanting to visit here for a while so we were delighted to combine this with an overnight stay at the delightful Woodall Spa Manor hotel. The Kinema staff were all very friendly and the organist was an unexpected treat in the interva.l

We aren't local and came in on Saturday night as we were staying in a nearby hotel - it was a lovely unique experience! Thank you

It was like stepping back in time at this brilliant cinema. There was even an interval half way through the film and an organist came up out of the stage and played. A fantastic experience.

Cheaper than the Odeon, this hidden gem is a cultural trip and film trip rolled into one. Beautiful surroundings guide you towards this apparently quite small building sitting within Woodhall Spa's woods. Oce inside you're greeted by old film memorabilia, sure to bring back fond memories and even in teh very young, a fabulus sense of nostalgia that really gears... More

Interesting visit and not big screen as this as a traditional 60's style cinema so less in your face. Very old fashioned and meant to be... Amazingly comfortable seating and coat hooks on the wall to hang your apparel. Box office entry, seats all on one level, small screen behind curtain and interval half way through for comfort break and... More

If you like quirky, historical and quaint, you will love this place. Used to come here all the time when I was growing up and going back as an adult who lives miles away it is nostalgic, but for me the organ player and the INTERVAL is just wrong! If you just want to watch a film, go elsewhere. If... More

Have been visiting the Kinema since I was very young and decided I wanted to share the experience with my friends back in the Midlands so when I saw that the Kinema was screening The Hunger Games I rushed to book tickets. Drove all the way from Derby to the Kinema to make the screening but my friend was overwhelmed... More

Everyone should experience this beautiful little cinema. An elegant, perfect theatre. Great staff, wonderful ambience. Even the sweet counter has excellent retro selections. The film is almost secondary to the experience. There's an interval halfway through the film, coat hooks down the aisles, delightful little touches everywhere. Worth a long journey to see
