Why not just once in a while do something on the spur of the moment? This was a fabulous experience, we decided to book and checked availability on line the evening before and were pleased to get the last two seats on the aircraft (which I think seats 9). The scenery is superb the pilot informative, diligent and a great... More

(Birthday present for my sister) 8-seater plane, very comfortable seats, super pilot who also gave running commentary on what we were seeing and took us where we had best and most varied views. The whole experience was very smooth and comfortable. We flew over Loch Lomond, snow-capped Ben Lomond, the Rothesay Ferry, nuclear subs in Faslane and looked out over... More

Flying in a seaplane has been on my wishlist for a while so I was delighted to find a UK company that could fulfill my ambition. I booked online which was very easy. Flights start from the Cameron House hotel. The flight was slightly delayed due to cloud but it was worth the wait. We had a safety briefing from... More

What a fantastic experience we had with this seaplane. After a rocky start as we thought the flight might need to be cancelled due to weather we got going and really could not have picked a better day. Scottish scenery is stunning and much better from the air. I bought this as a Christmas gift and would highly recommend. Finished... More

Well worthwhile and recommended! This was a 60th birthday treat and we had a perfect day to fly with clear skies and sunshine. Take off and landing is really smooth and the views are spectacular. Gourgeous views of the Cumbraes, Rothesay, Gigha etc weather was so good the pilot even took us through between Goatfell and the sleeping warrior on... More

Six of us went up in the plane for the Loch Lomond tour. The morning was cloudy but this didn't distract from the experience. There was another group of 3 so the plane was full; we still felt that our group had a shared experience. The company check who's with who and puts them on together. I currently have mobility... The sea plane trip is a very worthwhile trip to take. Small aircraft taking nine passengers. Wonderful views of the Loch Lomond area and the surrounding lochs and islands. Take off and landing quite different to land based aircraft ! Enjoyed the glass of Prosecco after the trip.

Loch Lomond Seaplanes is a small family-owned business run by David West (ex-Cathay Pacific 747 pilot) and his lovely wife Susie, a former flight attendant. I booked 2 tickets for my husband’s 50-something birthday. As requested by the company, we arrived 30 minutes prior to departure and were greeted by very friendly staff. Following a short safety briefing, we boarded... More
