The Valley of Flowers is a fantastic place where nature splurges its bounty for a short time. Every year for about 2 months - mid-June to mid-Aug, the valley erupts with flowers. Every week there are a different variety - colour and fragrance, but the valley remains amazingly full. The trip is a trek starting from Gobindghat where you will... More

Haridwar, Rishikesh,Valley Of Flowers, Hemkund Sahib and Badrinath Day 1- Took a very early morning flight from Mumbai to Delhi. Our vehicle for the tour was a brand new Xylo :). Our first stop was at a uncle’s place. After a hearty brunch prepared by Mami we left for Haridwar. Our first stop was at this place called Purkarji where... More

When we worship God, we offer floral tributes. What happens when God himself wants to worship? The Valley of Flowers. For miles and miles and miles, on all four directions, there are only flowers, more flowers and yet more flowers. Myriads in number, scores in colours. One day, the Valley is all pink and yellow. In just two more days,... More

I'm sure you've read other reviews about how beautiful this place is and everything. I'll just write about things to be prepared for : 1. Hordes and hordes of Sikhs, of all kinds and colors till Ghangharia. 2. Loads and streams of horse/mule-dung- literally . The Govind-ghat to Ghangaria stretch. Especially if it rains. You'll be walking in horse dung... More

I recently went to visit the valley of flowers with my parents (55+ both of them) and sister. Access to the valley is not easy - one has to first trek up 13 kms from Govindghat to Ghangharia which provides the base camp for the valley and Hemkund Sahib - a very popular Sikh pilgrimage spot. from Ghangharia itself, an... It is the ultimate destination for all nature lovers. Although at around mid July the valley was not in full bloom, I was told it was because snow melted late this year. Nevertheless it was dream come true for me, trekking a total of 38 km at ripe age of 56 years! But it was great learning experience! More

Situated in the mountain of garwal hills, it is a easy treaking route for the nature lovers who want to enjoy peacefully. The trek route is both easy and difficult. Easy in the sense, no dangerous terrain. Difficult as there are a few up areas which takes a toll. One can even take ponnies the take them to Ghangaria, which... More

It is difficult to add to what has already been written about valley of flowers. Nestled between a pair of mountains, situated at around 4000 meters above sea level, the valley deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as taj mahal in terms of must see attractions in India. It is extremely tough to reach, which ensures that it... More
