Even though I was there during peak tourist season, the tour groups were small enough that you got a chance to hear everything being said, ask questions, and not feel like a sheep being herded along. Wonderful, informative tour and a delicious tasting of Talisker Storm at the end. Well worth the entry fee.

The Talisker Distillery is well worth a visit. I did the basic tour as attending by car so could not sample the whisky on the tasting tours. I found the tour to be extremely interesting after drinking single malts for many years. I would recommend the visit to all.

We came here as part of a tour but I could have skipped it. You do get 2 free same of whisky but unless you are doing the tour of the distillery there really isn't anything else for you to do in there.

We unfortunately didn't realize you had to book 48hrs ahead online. Although it says you can call to book on the phone if it says they are booked out online- they are unable to take any reservations over the phone. They suggested to come directly to the distillery- which we Did, but they sold out in the 20mins it took... More

We took the advice of various websites and booked our group of 5 on a tour for the following day. We arrived super early due to some unexpected issues during our day but waited patiently until our alloted time. However, our tour time came and went. It turned out that they had forgotten about the 14 or so people waiting... More

The distillery is hidden away in the depths of Skye in stunning countryside, the drive there is worth the time alone. Tours need to be booked in advance and the last one starts 1 hour before closing. The entrance foyer has the whiskey shop and an information area about the history of the distillery. The tour guide was friendly and... More

As the only distillery in the beautiful isle of Skye, Talisker is a popular destination. so it's worth calling or booking online in advance. Tour takes about and hour and of course finishes up with a tasting and the shop were you can buy bottles. we ended up carrying 2 bottles back to the US with us that we cant... More

Having lived all of my 27 years in Scotland with only a wee sip of a dram here and there, my good lady and I decided to visit Talisker HQ during our week on Skye. We felt relieved that we had pre-booked online as the place was rammed with tourists which is to be expected during the height of a... More

We arrived at the distillery shortly before the last tour was due to start (having had a wonderful lunch at the nearby Old Inn). No go, as it was fully booked. Aparently, if you try to phone to make a booking, they may not answer it during busy periods (we were told). We didn't think it was worth the drive... More

We visited the distilliery (GPB 8/person for about 40min tour, including one tasting - Talisker Storm) on a bad weather day. The tour itself was interesting. However, one is not allowed to take photos in the really interesting areas. Doubt whether this can be justified with safety. Admittedly: there is a (more expensive) tasting visit. However, for such a big... More
