If you're travelling with under 8s you can't tour...and although it opens at 9,30 Scottish law means no alcohol sales before 10am....but probably the best distillery shop we visited on our hols

My wife and I recently visited the Isle of Skye with the kids for our very first time. One of the things that I wanted to do during this two-week trip through the UK was take a tour of a Scotch Distillery. I know a little about Scotch Whiskey, which is to say that I know what I like and... More

So glad we decided to visit Taliskers Distillery. We had to wait a bit for our tour, but visited a nearby (within walking distance) pub while we waited. It was so worth the wait. The tour guide was very fun and it was so interesting to learn about how scotch is made. I've never been a whisky or scotch drinker,... More

Had a lovely time at the distillery, very busy place considering how remote the location is. If you'd like to avoid being disappointed on arrival when tours are fully booked I suggest you phone in advance and check and possibly reserve yourself a spot. Clearly some folk on here couldn't do that and would like to blame the staff for... More

We enjoyed an hour's visit to this distillery, learning all about how whisky is made - when I was disabused of the thought that it is all to do with the water. The excellent guide, Danny, explained the secret is in the shape of the stills. For only £7, you are given a complete tour of the factory (as that... More

Bad bad bad. Whiskey served in plastic cups and no information avalible on their products, no tour spots avalible, poor information from staff whom seemd cluless. I would recomend anyone who want to go here to go when it is winter and less people maybe the service will be better but who knows.

I highly recommend the tour and the whisky! Guide was nice young man and a native of Skye which made it all that much more enjoyable. This is a very good, peaty Scotch and worth the price!

We visited the Talisker Distillery on the Isle of Skye recently and were blown away by the amazing samples of Skye's only distillery. My daughter and I were in Scotland from the States and came as part of a day-tour of the isle. The taste is very distinctive and echoes the seaside ambiance - we tried the 10 year old,... More

We received a tasting tour from a lady named Susan. Having visited many other distilleries, this was one of the worst tours we have had. Susan was not interested in explaining anything, she just tried to 'get it over with'. At the end of the tour, some participants had no idea about the process of whisky making. A real pity,... More

Very good tour of immaculate distillery. Young lad who showed us round was funny and informative and knew his stuff. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
