We have visited this area fourteen times but only five years ago did we find Heaven Apartments, recommended to us by a friend. We, always, thoroughly enjoyed our stays, to the utmost we thought, but, since staying at Heaven, our holidays have surpassed our highest expectations. Heaven is small, compact, cleverly designed and beautifully decorated. In addition to running and... More

The beach is wide and sandy, although there is a certain amount of litter in places. which is a shame. You can walk right along past many hotel and restaurants and stop off for coffee or a meal. The bathing is safe and the sea was very warm, being September.

Next to Carreta Carreta restaurant, there's very sandy beach. A little father on the right and left pebbles starts but it was very clean and silent.

Very clean beach and silent. The only "bad" thing is that there is no sun shine in the late evening,

as good a beach as any on the Greek Islands. Nothing to dislike. Not overcrowded, sometimes calm, often choppy. Good selection of bars, restaurants nearby. A nice piece of the world

I spent 4 months working there when I was a student. It's a nice beach, with the most amazing sunsets, but you can find so many more beaches in Crete that are way more spectacular.

a fantastic sandy beach with the shallow water allowing adults to stand in the water only waist deep at more than 50 metres out. The beach stretches along the coast to Platanias

End of season, nice and quiet, surf was up due stormy weather. Dark sand. Nice long stretch beach to walk in the early evening before dark. Could be good in season.
