Orsa, is around 12 kms from Mora, to visit the bear park (Björnoparken) in GrönKlitt, which is another 15 km from Orsa. The bear park reasonably ok as per scandinivian standards, which housed polar bears, brown bears, lynx, wolf, Siberian tigers etc. the entry ticket costs 195 sek per adult and the entry was upto 3 pm, though you could... Hated it! I do not like zoos and this is a zoo. The bears are a bit better off than the other animals but it is really sad to see a Swedish brown bear in Sweden pacing up and down a 4m high fence with barbed wire like a depressed animal instead of roaming freely. Let's not even write about... More

If you visit during low season make sure to bring your own food since there in none to buy in the entire park. No warm food, no cold food, no cakes, Nothing! We were recommended to go to the restaurant in Fryksås, only problem is that the restaurant is a very pricy gourmet restaurant not really targeted at children. Another... More

We were lucky enough to get the first days of spring when all the bears and cats were happily sunning them selves and playing in their enclosures. This is a first class zoo with large areas for the animals to roam. The polar bears were swimming in the ice pool and the young brown bear cubs were up to mischief... More

A huge park, very informative and located in an absolutely awesome place with the best Nordic panoramas. Sadly, bears were already in their winter sleep. But polar bears, leopards and lions were very cool. Also, a nice gift shop at the entrance and a very stylish cafe at the top of the hill

Animal enclosures are more than spacious and very suited to the needs of the animals! This is a wonderful day excursion for a family or simply for anyone who loves nature and animals. Wonderful interactive exhibits and play areas for children. All of the carnivores are very active and we had the opportunity to see all of them run about... More

Coming from Australia i found the animals there amazing, well designed walkways and great access to places for good photo opportunities. The gift shop also has well priced items, well worth a visit.

Nice park for carnivores from around the circumpolar North. Medium size. Some animals could be photographed from above, but for some other ones the view was obstructed by heavy chain-link fences. Restaurant closed.

Animals in their natural surroundings. Very pretty and good for the children! It is worth the trip. Had lunch at the top of the mountain. Steep trek. No wonder the Swedes are so active.

Fantastic animal park just next to the ski slopes. You could actually see the animals when skiing. For closer encounters, go into the park. It is a 3 km walk (quite hilly) to do the whole park but it is worth it for sure. We had polar bears, tigers, snow leopards, geopards, wolfs etc just 3 meters from us behind... More
