Surprisingly beautiful

A very pretty set of falls and pools, perfect for families, or going just to relax sitting on the stony ground

Kondalilla Falls is easily accessible from Brisbane and there are many other things to do in the area after visiting. The rainforest is spectacular and lush. The tracks are well maintained and generally very easy, however there is a steep descent on the way out and a steep climb coming back. Also currently the track to the bottom of the... More

A pleasant hike to and from the falls, although unfit or older people might find the walk back to the car park, difficult.

The perfect spot on a clear weather day to appreciate mystical rain forest scenes and the beautiful rock pools; easy circuit walk on boardwalk & paths to top of falls and rock pools; longer challenging walks can be accessed from the park too. Beautiful 'Elements Teahouse' to finish off the arvo with a lovely afternoon tea and spectacular views. Worth... More

Well marked walking tracks, short walk through rain-forest to swimming hole (rock pool) at top of falls,(nice and cool this time of year, but do-able) small waterfall into rock pool, easy walk down, medium difficulty back up to car park. Also longer walk to bottom of falls and back. Better during the weekdays, as can be crowded on weekends.

It is a pleasant hike to Kondalilla Falls, it is primarily rainforest. The tracks are well maintained. About half way there is a popular swimming hole, it is quite cold though. The only tip I'd suggest is waiting until it has rained a bit before traveling, when we visited recently the falls were not running.

after a perfect free attraction where you can drive up through landsbrough and into Montville and then turn left into the kondalilla falls road, park the car and enjoy the most beautiful walk to the waterfalls. depending on the level of your fitness, you can stop at the first falls or you can walk down to the bottom. the water... It is a well marked track down to the waterfall but a bit uneven so be sure to wear good walking shoes.
