A pretty crowded strip of beach where restaurants, bars and dive shops jostle for space with each other and tourists. It can feel vibe-y and fun but if you want to lay on the beach and tan/chill be aware that there's not much of a sandy strip (as elsewhere in the Visayas - maybe due to coastal erosion?), and what... The place is serene, powdery sands, clear waters and fresh air. A number of hotels and restaurants located at the beachfront. Not crowded and the locals are nice. The only thing i did not like is that a lot of the motor boats are fronting at the shore which limits the area for swimming.

Very nice beach ! I was a little upset about all the trash lying around . Maybe that could be helped if someone put up trash cans around the beach . Good food , good drinks , very cheap. Massages are the best :)

the beach is nice full of life at night with nice bars and restaurants but it needs a good clean up team to get all plastic and debris of the beach ad out of the water. I find it sad that so many business are located on this beach so if early in the morning they would all do a... More

Beautiful beach wherein the sand in part of it are almost comparable to Station 2 of Boracay. The best time to swim is during high tide as the sea grass are further off. There are many options for eating with an abundance of sea food; these are cheaper alternatives to hotels. Beach gets busy during night-time as the establishments set-up... More

Alona Beach is a great place for people-watching, fresh seafood, and just relaxing on the sand. But it's not the best place to enjoy peaceful solitude, and our snorkeling experience was very mediocre. It is convenient to get to, and there are diverse accommodations at a wide range of costs nearby. We spent a couple days there, which was more... More

I really loved the beach! The sand was quite white and clean, and there weren't too many tourists so the area wasn't packed. Lots of restaurants to choose from! The water was quite clear and you can see a lot of fish and starfish!

Spent 7 nights at Alona Beach and enjoyed every minute. We picked Alona Beach to do our open water Padi as we had been told was good diving and the waters were very safe. Both were true. Alona beach has a Good choice of eateries and accomodation. Good swimming and lots to see with the dive and tour boats going... More
