I loved the white sand but there were too many shops close to the shoreline. We did get to take a boat to the sandbar nearby and of course it was beautiful. Wasn't too happy with how commercialized the beach is but still a beautiful experience to have.

Travelling to Panglao - Alona Beach takes about 20-35 mins by car from Tagbilaran Port. When we got there, we were happy to see this place is thriving but not as commercialized as Boracay yet. Which, i think is good. There are restaurants right next to the beach offering a wide array of seafoods. What to do there? The biggest... More

Yes, they call it little Bora, well I can't confirm since I haven't been to Bora yet. All I can see are tourists from different races. Its a great place to unwind. Clean waters, white sand. They also offer island hopping and other water extreme adventures, well, we don't try any of those since it'll be additional fee and it... More

Panglao, Bohol is a very popular tourist destination - - - and this is made all the more obvious with the plethora of international cafes and restos here. It's a nice place overall, the beach nightlife is vibrant for the same reason as above. But if you came here for the beach... you will be disappointed. It's rocky and there's... More

Could be a nice beach but too short, crowded, full of restaurants and hotels. Dumaluan is much much better.

Alona Beach has nice white sand, is accessible, with water depth that is manageable. The water near the shore is not so clear, unlike in Boracay or Palawan. There is a good amount of sea moss in certain areas. The sunrise is beautiful, but there is no sunset view, except from the cliffside of Amorita beach. The beach near Amorita... More

White sand beach and clear, clean water. Best to swim at high tide. There are areas with a lot of grass and sea urchins so be very careful. At the time of our visit, there's no more area to swim in at 5pm since tide has gone low.

This is a lovely beach, which people don't seem to realise it's potential. The road along the beach is full of pot holes and rocks. I seen an elderly Gentleman turn his ankle and fall to the floor. We stayed there for a Month and visited most beachside bars and restaurants. The Restaurants, are vastly overpriced. The service is so... More

It was a little bit crowded during the day but you should go, specially if you want to dive because most of dive centers are there. Also you should go to dinner, there are plenty of restaurants which offer fresh fish and meat.
