What a lovely man the guy who runs this is so enthusiastic and knows the water and countryside well, however wrap up warm, he does provide blankets but it was cold and wet, he also supplies good binoculars, well worth the money.

We went on this boat on a cold day and I feared it could be a rough trip so took a travel pill. There was more movement on a car ferry across a loch the next day. The boat cut through the water which made it so still for taking photos. The talk we were given was so interesting and... More

A very relaxing and informal day out on a very friendly boat. Skipper Jim gives an interesting commentary at times when it's needed, but leaves you at peace when it's not. You'll not be bothered by any inappropriate music either. Whatever the weather, Loch Shiel is beautiful but can be chilly. Blankets are available, but I would say take some... More

Definately the highlight of my 3 day visit to beautiful Glenfinnan. Booked the full loch cruise as wanted to see as much of the loch and wildlife as possible. Unfortunately the weather wasn't very kind to us on the day, but I didn't let this spoil the trip. Jim the skipper was wonderful. He seems to know everything there is... More

We booked the full cruise last Wednesday and it didn't disappoint. The weather could have been better, but it didn't spoil a really great day. The scenery is wonderful and we spotted sea eagles, thanks to Jim, our Captain. Our Golden Retriever 'Ollie' was allowed on board for the cruise and he had a fun time. Jim, his wife Helen... More

This was a wonderful trip where we saw eagles close up, deer, various other birds and amazing scenery. Very friendly crew and knowledgeable of the area. Having stayed in Glenfinnan for a few years I'm so glad I have now done this trip.

We were lucky enough to be the only two people on this cruise and we just loved it. Jim is just lovely and gave us a really interesting commentary. It was pretty cool the day we were on the cruise but Jim supplied us with blankets and we sat up the front of the boat and took in the stunning... More

This is the second time we have done the cruise and it was just as good as the first. Jim and his colleague are both very knowledgable of the area, the history and especially the birds. We were very lucky and saw white tailed eagles, golden eagles, black throated divers and red breasted mergansers amongst a lot of other birds.... More

Well this is a beautiful loch and Jim, who owns the boat, is a very lovely man. He has a lot of knowledge of the wildlife and history of the area. You can take this trip as a one-way and catch the bus back (the bus meets the boat) or do a return trip. The boat has plenty of seating... More
