What an excellent time we had! We took the 2.5 hr Sunday cruise and from the moment on board we felt comfortable and welcome. The Captain was both knowledgable and wise, giving enough information without speaking all the time. He gave out blankets and had spare binoculars. We saw eagles and red deer (far away but fun). I did not... More

This is a great trip. We took our 3 year old grandson and 70+ mum and they both loved it. We took the 1 hour trip which was good value at £10. The weather was great, the scenery is magic but it is the skipper who makes this. Jim is a genial host, informative and engaging. If you are anywhere... More

It seems there are three options; a one hour, a two and a half hour and a three and a half hour cruise on offer each covering a part of the loch proportionate to the duration. We took the two and a half hour cruise and it was every bit as good as I'd hoped. Jim Michie who runs the... More

Lovely restored small naval tender which plies up and down the loch. Coffee/ tea / snacks available and a loo. Jim is knowledgeable about the wildlife, geology and history around the loch and you may see golden eagles and / or sea eagles. Reasonable prices- you need warm clothes and binos. You can also see the Jacobite Steam Train going... More

To start with, where can you get a full days entertainment for £25 a head. Yes, we were lucky and the weather was glorious but this would have been a great trip in any weather. We were also extremely lucky with the birds. We saw a lone Sea Eagle on the way up the Loch and saw a pair in... More

We did the morning cruise as a family group of 7 adults, one toddler and one baby. We all enjoyed every moment and it was worth every penny. A great trip for all ages. Watching the train go over the viaduct and eagle spotting was fun for all. The trip was very interesting and informative and the skipper was very... More

We were the only ones to board and, therefore, the captain asked us if it was OK for us to do a 1-hour tour instead of the usual 2 hours because the fuel wouldn't pay otherwise. In the end the tour lasted almost two hours after all :-) the captain told us a lot about the loch, tried very hard... More

Wednesday full Cruise trip would be best if you want the best chance of wildlife spotting. However We did the the shorter 2.5 hour trip and were still rewarded with 3 Golden Eagles. Captain Jim was an amazing spotter and fill of local knowledge given out on the tannoy or one to one chats. Help yourself to Alcohol or hot... More

We have been on the MV Sileas twice and it has been brilliant both times. Wet on our first trip two years ago and gloriously sunny most recently ( 18th April) we and the kids loved being on the water. With excellent commentary from Jim the skipper and binoculars with which to see the eagles and other beasties the hour... More
