We had a great holiday at Hafjel. The slopes are amazing and all very well maintained. Unfortunately when we went the snow was thin near the bottom and abit icey, but at the top it was wonderful, so we tended to spend our time up the top. There are lots of different slopes for everyone. We had a party of... More

Hafjell is my favorite nordic ski-resort. I have visited Hovden, Trysil, Geilo and Hemsedal in Norway and Hundfjället in Sweeden, but Hafjell is my favorite for alpine skiing. I have been told that nordic skiing isn't the best, but I can't tell if it is right... Good for families, as all slopes end in the same square.

Unfortunately we had very warm weather the week we were here in February, which lead to lots of fog, but despite that, we enjoyed our family ski trip with children ages 9, 10 and 11. This mountain is geared toward intermediate skiers. While we didn't use the service, we saw lots of children in ski school. My children kept their... More

Scenic with lots of things to do. Watch out for bar prices - equivalent of £16 for 2 small bottles of beer!!!!

The snow towards the valley in December 2013 wasn't amazing, with temperatures above freezing meaning rain, but the snow above mid-station was fine, with excellent conditions further up. The runs are wide and almost deserted, meaning that beginners can learn with confidence on uncrowded, perfectly pitched runs (we had a first time skier in our group who really enjoyed the... More

As a regular I know Hafjell very well. If you are after very black slopes, Hafjell is not the place. If you (or the family) wants blue and red slopes, and something for everyone, Hafjell might very well be a very good choice.

I am a regular at Hafjell, so I might not be that trustworthy :-) As long as you don't expect to be in the alps, Hafjell will not let you down. It's fantastic to bring your kids here, and as mentioned it is slopes for most skiers. One good thing is that you can't get lost. Every slope will bring... More

I visit Hafjell about five times a year. I enjoy every minute I am here. The snow is plentiful and the varied slopes are well maintained. There are blue and green slopes for those wanting an easy descent. There are reds and blacks that are challenging but not out of reach even for a novice skier. There are three chair... More

We go there every winter - several times if we can. Great slopes for learning to do slalom, and even greater slopes for those who want a challenge. If you go all the way to the top, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the valley on the way down. Plenty of places to take a break on the way... More
