Loved this resort. It was busy over Easter but even then the lift queues were only 10 minutes. Well prepared slopes and a wide variety to choose from. Not a lot of off piste but still lots to explore and two terrain parks too. Norway is expensive so if you are on a budget go self catering. That said you... More

Had a great time skiing in Hafjell and Kvitjell over the Easter weekend. The runs here weren't as steep as in the Alps so it's great for beginner / intermediates. The red and black runs were also manageable and luckily the snow was in great condition.

Hafjell is one of the larger ski area's in Norway and a pleasure to be at. Long enough runs and absolutely quiet when visited on week days. No waiting time at all and ample space to make some very good runs. It offers both easy and more craving slopes, and the only thing you can't do is make long, open... More

Though I was terrified at the prospect of trying skiing for the first time, Hafjell was one hell of a day out! You can hire equipment: helmets, skis, poles, boots, gloves etc at the base of the slopes. It meant that, despite not having my own equipment, I could join in with the fun. If you aren't keen to ski,... More

Great family friendly place to go skiing or just to.relax. There are plenty of afterskis and restaurants in the area. And Lillehammer is just nearby :)

Great ski field, well organised and efficienct! We were there on a slow day and had the fields almost to ourselves. Slopes were perfectly groomed every morning

Hafjell Alpincenter has many lifts and runs covering an altitude difference of over 800 m. All types of difficulty for alpine skiing. Size of the alpine ski center is like a medium one in the Alps. Around Hafjell are another 300 km of cross country skiing trails. Hafjell ski resort is close to Lillehammer and some more resorts, which are... More

Very well organised, everything you need is basically there. We especially liked that there are green and blue pistes all the way from the top of the mountain.

We are here here in Hafjell for Christmas. Hafjell is a top 5 skiarea in Scandinavia, and particularly chosen for for that reason. Therefore it is extremely disappointing to see only 24 of 53 km slopes open, predominantly green and blue and NOT A SINGLE BLACK SLOPE being prepared. Just enough to meet their "snow guarantee"!!! Now the really annoying... More

Hello. We feel bad that you had a bad Experience at Hafjell. The black slopes have some snow before christmas, but for the slopes to perfect during the sesone, they need a lot of man made snow. So our black slopes on the south side opens after christmas. But we are working on getting more water for our snowmaking for... More

We had a great holiday at Hafjel. The slopes are amazing and all very well maintained. Unfortunately when we went the snow was thin near the bottom and abit icey, but at the top it was wonderful, so we tended to spend our time up the top. There are lots of different slopes for everyone. We had a party of... More
