Description: One of the best beaches in Chania prefecture, quite untouched and...
One of the best beaches in Chania prefecture, quite untouched and unexplored. Many travelers use the area around the beach as a free camping spot. It is actually a cedar forest next to the beach. It is also a favorite beach for naturists. The road up to Elafonisi is quite good and then you need to take a non asphalt road for about 10 minutes. Then you also need to take a walk path for another 15-20 minutes. No matter the time you will need to go there, it's sure that you will enjoy that unique beach.

The beach is situated 1 km before the most famous Elafonisi. It is quite easy to reach with gps. On the way to Elafonisi, turn on your left following the indication for "Sklavopoula". From this point, a fire road will take you to the beach. You have to park on the top and then go down by walking, for 10... More

Best isolated beach in Crete. No services at all. Not signed in any way so use WAZE GPS from the app store to get there or ask the locals.

Amazing location, worth the rough road to get there. Be prepared wih water and any snack you might need as there is nothing there. Probably the best untouched beach in Chania

Bad road, too far away, no facilities. Not as nice as Eleffonisi beach where there are better services.

A 30 min walk from Elafonisi beach to a non crowded sandy beach with shady trees and lots of space. Good mixture of nude and clothing optional bathing. When the boat back to Paleochora leaves from Elafonisi it´s getting very private and quiet. Masses prefer Elafonisi and should go there, individuals will like this one.

The beach is honestly not as amazing as read in some blogs.. (Not sure why people here posted photos of Elafonissi instead) The water is nice, but is not as clear and 'Caribbean' as its neighbor elafonissi. The path to get here also takes a while (45min) as it's mainly through rocks. The pro is that is that there are... More

This beach was amazing. We visited early in the day expecting it to get busy - but there were no more than 15 people on the whole beach at one time. Unlike the much-visited Elafonnissi beach ten minutes down the road, there are no umbrellas, sun beds or beach bars; just you, the sea and the Juniper trees (perfect if... More

I rated this "excellent" as it is., without to rate organization which is nearly zero. Only parking garbage is taken occasionally and that should be all, unfortunately. As I said here and elsewhere Greeks should learn to take care, well pack and properly sell their natural treasures. Making basic but fully functional facilities, employing people and charging entrance are the... More

THe beach is on easy to find but it is one of the most beautiful i have ever visited. Totally unspoilled. The access is not very easy. You need to be equipped because it is not an organised beach. Alos some people do free camping there.
