We were picked up early at our hotel, just the two of us (my husband and I) and a guide and driver. The guide had wonderful English, and was very courteous and did her best to give us a great day. We booked the trip through Trailfinders. Firstly we drove to the food market part, and were taken through the... More

It's extremely easy to get a ticket and prices are standard at bht60 per person. No hassle just pay and jump into the boat. Our boat left at 1900hrs friday evening from it's pier at the floating market and we returned at about 1915hrs. Life jackets were available although the commentary was in Thai. Notwithstanding it was a great trip.... More

Visited Amphawa floating market during the night to view fireflies. It was very crowded, the place is full of tourists and the market is very busy. The speed boat ferry took us to deep into the woods where it was very very dark. The journey is about 1hour, although we were handed life vest, we were quite scared as the... More

Located about an hour or more outside of Bangkok, this is a lmarket that includes floating boats. The market is a combination of goods for locals and tourists. There are a lot of shops that surround the river. The unique experience in this market is to sit on the river bank on bench seats (like your kid's local baseball diamond... More

During the weekend you can see lots of people and open all the shops stating from 5PM till late. Paying 60 Bht and they will take you boat ride and it covers firefly’s. Nice view in the dark looks like Christmas tree but journey is too tiring and will take 1 to 2 hours.

From Bangkok you get here by minivan from Victory Monument (station situated away from Victory Monument and towards the Century Building) in about 90mins for Bht80/each. The market happens Fri-Sun from 3pm onwards. We came earlier and took a cruise to 5 temples for about 2hrs for Bht50/each. You find this cruise by crossing the main bridge and then the... More

I am sure that I will visit to Amphawa floating market soon again! it was so exciting & huge floating market. As i remember about the Damnon saduak market is more artificial and more over prices & so tourist area. Comparing with 2 floating market, I strongly recommend Amphawa!!! More exciting & natural & cheap ...easy to buy^^
