Somebody don't know that Amphawa floating market has night market and quite bigger than day night. The most important is not hot weather as afternoon time. Some restaurant open on the side road that the food is quite nice.

The place is very lovely. Apart from it is very close to Bangkok, the food here is amazing. Historically this part of the central region was the stomach of Thailand where everything grows and plenty of fish in the river. While Amphawa is generally inclining towards tourism and cultural activities, it is trying to maintain its quality and true identity... More

Your Bangkok tour will be incomplete without visiting the famous floating markets. I chose Amphawa (no particular reason). Bad part: The water can be a big turn off as it's dirty. That's the reason I didn't take the boat ride. The good part: It's a huge market and the produce available is fresh and I found it be cheap. I... More

We traveled here from Bangkok, about an hour and half van ride, and it was worth it. First getting here can be a hassle. Our hotels travel company wanted to charge us 650 baht per person and didn't want to leave Bangkok until 1pm. We decided instead to take a van costing 80baht per person each way. For two of... More

Overall, the Amphawa Floating Market itself is worth a visit for first-time visitors especially the stroll and dinner along the riverside shops and night market. Beware though that booking a private tour by taxi on your own would be costly - we paid THB3000 for return trip that took from 3pm to 1030pm. The boat ride was exorbitantly quoted at... More

I fell in love the first time I visited the market back in Feb. Came back again for Songkran and got my friend to join in. Took the train from Thorn Buri to see the train market before heading to Amphawa. Despite the long journey heading south west, the wait is definetly worth it. Seafood is affordable and you could... There were several shops opening on weekdays, but the floating market not many boats doing business. Then only i realized the floating market will be more fun on weekend. So... More
