I can't recommend Tony's walks highly enough. He is an engaging personable guide who provides a fantastic blend of botany, geology and environmentalism . And shows great patience too ...having to compete with the noise of our 9 month old son over the course of the walk. As beautiful as the location is , there is so much that would... More

Had we just walked around the well marked nature trails in the Burren park we would have had a lovely day. Instead we were treated to an informative, entertaining, and personal tour with Tony. He answered both simple and more complex questions with respect and deep insight. Tony engaged our teens too. The result was that they listed the afternoon... More

We did a lot of research before going to Ireland and wanted to learn about everything from the local culture and history, to the landscape and wildlife. We were not disappointed. Tony Kirby was recommended to us by someone from the County Clare Tourism Office. He spent three-plus hours with our family hiking through The Burren and sharing his knowledge... More

If you want to step off the beaten path (literally) and deepen your knowledge and experience of Ireland, join Tony Kirby for his guided walk through the Burren. It was a highlight of our trip and a pleasant respite from crowded tourist sites. Tony generously shared his wide-reaching knowledge of the area, his enthusiasm for protecting the Burren, and his... I have just come back from this 2 hour tour, it was fantastic. Tony is a wonderful guide who was full of knowledge and interesting insights into the Burren. His tour covered so many aspects: history, geography, archeology, botany with some poetry thrown in! Time and money well spent.

Thank you Tony for the vast wealth of knowledge you shared about The Burren and the surrounding areas. I was so impressed by your tour including your poetry monologues and your ease of moving from one area to the next. I enjoyed the pace - not too slow, yet not too fast.

We spent 2 great hours with Tony Kirby exploring the magnificent Burren, and it was a highlight in a wonderful visit to Ireland. If we'd done a walk on our own, I'm sure we would have enjoyed the scenery, but Tony's extensive knowledge of the geology, history, flora and fauna of the area enhanced our visit immensely. He is charming,... More

Tony Kirby gives a fascinating guided walk of this wonderful landscape. Covering a diverse range of subject matter, Tony imparts near encyclopedic knowledge with flair, passion & great eloquence. Tony is as great a treasure as the magnificent Burren itself.

Tony is a true modern day Seanachie. His knowledge of history, flora, geology and poetry transform this walk through the Burren into a living museum. His genial and reflective nature are contagious as accepts questions and answers them with thoughtful consideration. The 2 things I took away from this experience that were directly a result of Tony more than the... More

Our Burren walk was fantastic! Tony is a knowledgeable and personable guide, and we noticed aspects of the Burren that we wouldn't have seen on our own. I definitely plan to schedule with him again on a future trip. Thank you, Tony.
