We arrived in Mendoza late morning and set out from the hotel to find a luncheon destination. About 20 minutes out of Mendoza by train (a 3 peso ride) you will find Bodegas Lopez founded in 1898. It is a large mass production facility, but it does have a very nicely appointed restauarant on a second storey which has spectacular... More

It's impossible not to visit a winery once you're visiting the wine capital of Buenos Aires.... Our first stop of Lopez winery. The guide was very helpful with every wine question on hand. We ended up tasting some wine and then offered a 15% discount off any purchases we make at the gift shop.

What a fantastic and considerate wine tour. We were the only non-Spanish speakers of the day and we only had to wait a short while to he taken around the factory, fermentation plant and bottling site. The tour was very interesting and all questions were answered easily. Big thanks to Stephanie and her flawless fluent English and a great wine... More

This winery did not pretend to be boutique winery. It is a high production winery. I found the experience interesting but if you are looking for something special: this may not be the place. I heard that it is convenient to get here using public transportation. The guide was very friendly and was very open to questions. The initial film... More

This tour was arranged by my B&B and I thought it was excellent! I was the only non-Spanish speaker on the minibus so when I got to the winery I had a private tour. Obviously this is not the norm & I was very lucky. I thoroughly enjoyed the bottling factory. I then got to taste 2 wines. There was... More

This is the largest high quality functioning winery in the Mendoza, Maipu areas. One hour in depth tours and samples are free. Tours are every top of the hour in various languages. The facility and staff are world class. The guides are well spoken, informative, friendly, and interactive. Buy a few bottles (very resonable cost) to show your appreciation. The... More

This is one of the first winery bodegas that I had the opportunity of visiting out in Mendoza, Mendoza Argentina. During the tour we saw the private cellars which have had their wines stored in them since 1930 such as first bottles of Chateau Vieux from 1938. We also saw the area which have the laggards and milling machines, stainless... More

Firstly there is no need to go to agencies in Mendoza for a wine tour. Jump on the "green train" which takes you just outside the gates of Bodegas Lopez - it's a 2 minute walk and the cost of the train journey is just 2 Pesos each way. Lopez Winery gives you everything you want and expect from a... More

My husband is a chef in the States so for our first day in Mendoza I booked the Express Sommelier course and got a full tour of the winery and Champagne factories. It was so thorough that it educated us so that we could understand the wine making process that much better when visiting other wineries the rest of the... More
