About
Try your hand at beach diving here, suitable for a wide range of divers from absolute beginners to fun dives for experienced divers. The red, yellow, and purple alcyonacea (or soft corals) that paint the ocean a beautiful color is reminiscent of a flower garden and is a must-see of this area. You can also see a large number of the popular clownfish.

Even after being long-out-of-practice, we really enjoyed this trip. The first sunny Sunday in a while encouraged everyone in the region to get out on the road, so parking was a challenge. At low tide the breakers make it challenging to balance and get those fins on, but then... the magic. Fantastic visibility, astounding variety of sea life, colors not seen outside of neon signs. The sandy beach was habitable, the sea wall walkable. Highly recommend!!!

This is a popular diving spot, but it's also popular with surfers and snorkelers, there's a great chicken and waffles place in the area and you can see a very beautiful sunset, weather permitting.

We rented a place close to the Seawall. Sunabe has walkway, restaurants, beach, park, & scuba diving shops.

Many years ago, Sunabe was a very cool place where you could meet people from everywhere, cool drift cars would cruise the strip and it had some good diving. Fast forward about 17 years. Sunabe has had a lot of construction on and around the sea wall. The sedimentation has literally killed all the hard corals so all that you can really enjoy are the shallower soft corals. The Sunabe town itself is like living on American base housing. The surf is mediocre since the lineup results in a usual 20 minute wait. The locals are pretty cool about letting you drop in on a wave but the foreigners that don't even belong will be quick to try and punch you.

Another island gem ruined by construction and development

We went here on a cloudy day that had a few raindrops, but still had a beautiful view of the sea. It's a lovely place to walk along the sea wall. As we walked along, we saw crabs, people heading out scuba diving, people reflecting, wading in the waters edge, looking for shells and just having a pleasant, peaceful time! Very nice area...totally enjoyed walking through here!

The Sunabe waterfront walk is a great place for beautiful sunsets or to jog along in the morning or evening.
Good nice walk with hotels and restaurants on the inside streets of the Sunabe district.
About 20min. walk to the American village.

I went there for surfing. Yes, it is not a world class surfing spot all around the year. But in the right time, you are able to score some nice waves for sure.

Other then surfing, there's a lot of good things to do. It is a good place for jogging, walking dogs, walk with the long seaside road, hanging out at the restaurants or cafe. Or to may even just sit down and looking at the beautiful view of sunset.

It is a good place to hang out.

The temperature in the summer evenings is great so you can go for a walk along the se wall. The kids love walking down the stairways and getting splashed by the waves.

I enjoyed the lovely walk and saw a bunch of surfers. It was a nice breezy walk and on a nicely done sea wall.
