A fantastic trek for 2 hours - we were a mixed ability group, some people had ridden only once before but were well looked after by the leaders and the ponies themselves. totally safe, the leaders are amazing as their attention to the ponies welfare and the riders comfort is paramount. the more experienced ones had their fill of cantering... Friendly staff, mix of novice and challenging rides, make your choice depending upon ability. National Forest so great scenery, safe routes and no 'Road Work'. Ideal for the novice and experienced rider. I booked at short notice, six other places couldn't accommodate me, but Cannock did, and were warm, welcoming and lived up to my high expectations for this type... More

We took a group of 8 school children. The majority of whom had not ridden before. The staff were great, they all got allocated a suitable pony and given simple instructions to follow. The staff were constantly reassuring the children and giving them directions. All of the children walked and trotted for short bursts. They loved it!

I have only been once, but I plan to go again in future, I love horse riding and not having my own horse means the only way I can go for a hack is via cannock chase trekking centre. The horses are great, the experience is fun. If you want a certain horse, i.e height or size ask them, they... More

Far too many people on the ride, the group was split into two so that some could have a canter, although as the group was so large the cantering and trotting were very stop-start. Myself and my partner were separated and told that he could join for a canter after his first trot but as there were so many people... More

We have been riding all our lives and love forward going hacks on nice horses. We have ridden in many places over the years. When we arrived yesterday for the 2 hour experienced ride we were a little worried because there were so many people on our ride. However it was a fabulous ride. Great horses and endless tracks across... More
