I came for a couple of days and stayed almost 2 weeks. The valley and my accommodation, the Riad Dades, have been enchanting. It is really a pity that most visitors cross the area just for a few shots. It is an ideal base to explore the Dades, Rose and Todgha valleys and to hike the Saghro plateau (4 days).... More

Definitely worth a visit. We were driven up by our hotel driver. Both gorge and road are impressive. Take your camera.

The road up the gorge is a sequence of hairpins that gets gorgeous as you get uphill. It reminded me of a similar road in Mt. Edith Cavell in the Canadian Rockies. I would say the Moroccan version is better as the views are not blocked by high trees. Additionally the contrast between the green shrubs and the red rocks... More

The drive up to the top of Dades Gorges is beautiful. We visited this place after staying the night at Xaluca Dades. This was a relaxing day after a very fun, but exhausting trip into the Sahara. This scenic drive reminded me a lot of some of our drives here in Colorado. I highly recommend this. Don't forget your camera!

We had our own rental vehicle and stayed at the nearby (20 minutes) Xaluca Dades hotel. The drive through the gorge was simply beautiful and it was fun to drive the super-curvy part of the road (that is highly photographed for postcards). Driving the road itself is not scary and is quite enjoyable. Not many places to get out an... More

it was part of our tour, take a camera, and relax. Or spend more days in a car you rent or bus you take.
