Went last summer, 3 Brits and our Swedish friend. We were initially excited to go but were pretty horrified at how many people there were at the swimming pools compared to how much room there actually was; There was no general large pool for chilling out in...The only pools you could freely go in were very small and packed almost shoulder... Golly! This place was awful, a total rip off. Avoid at all costs. The bathing area was chaotic and the tickets for some of the attractions a total rip off. There were noisy "new" Swedes everywhere pushing and fighting in the pools. My children were petrified and we left early because of them. I would not recommend anyone to go... More

This park is overrated. Nothing stands out. Best part of the park, is the waterpark, but u do not need to go here only for this. Rest of the park shows low maintenance and makes the visit midiocre. I will not come back. If u like a Tivoli: go to Gøteborg,Stockholm or Cophenhagen. If u like waterparks. Go to Bø... More

Skara Sommarland is a great place for a family with children between 6 or 7 years and upto 13 yrs. I would actually rate the 7 or more swimming areas (pools) with flumes, water slides and fun bits as better, at least on a warm sunny day, than the theme park rides. For tiny tots there is a "Tivoli" with... More

Skara Sommarland is a nice park for children up to 12 years from my point of view. Sure also teenagers have some things to do like go-carts, extreme water slides etc. but 90% of the attractions are for children. For children it's a perfect place to be. There's a tivoli with 10-15 attractions and there are no long queues at... More

For a reasonable fee you can enjoy many attractions, both roller-coasters and different waterslides and pools. There are something for everyone. We have children 4 and 7 and they loved it. There was a show with water acrobats that was really astonishing. We will go there again!

Sommarland is always a great trip. It only takes about 1,5 hours from my home. Lots of fun for all ages. Its possible to bring your own meat etc and have a bbq as they have a special area where they provide grills (cannot remember but i think it was with electricity so you do not have to bring charcoal)

If you are somewhere around the city Skara you must take your kids to this place. Compared to other water theme parks I have been to, this is the one with the best maintained facilities and it looks like the company have safety as a priority. But do bring you own food inside. The restaurants at this place sucks.
