Description: A magnificent Grade 1 Listed 17th Century Jacobean Mansion brought back to...
A magnificent Grade 1 Listed 17th Century Jacobean Mansion brought back to its former glory. The recent restoration has enabled us a fascinating chance to truly step back in time.Built in 1610, this stunning house has over 400 years of history; deaths, dirty deeds, suicides, it has seen the lot! It is a former court house for the "Hanging Judge Jeffreys" and it is said some of his victims still haunt the house! The house is open for tours on a Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday at 2pm & 3pm. It is said to be the most haunted house in Wales so for those who dare, come and join the Paranormal team on a Saturday night on a hunt for the spirits that inhabit the house!

We had a lovely visit here. I would agree with the other reviews: make sure you bring a jumper even on a warm day and ring up to check that the tour is in fact on! The tour was... read more

The man who shows you around was extremely friendly and nice and had a great deal of knowledge about the place. You got a strong impression about the historic occupants who were high landed gentry but lower than Royalty and the social differenced between them and the poor was immense they only mixed in there own elite circles. The house... More

I have been twice now to the paranormal nights at Plas Teg and have not been disappointed at all by either the spirits or the team. I found all members of the team to be very professional, polite and friendly. They all went out of their way to ensure that everyone was OK throughout both nights and put everyone at... More

This was my 2nd time at plas teg and it didn't fail me once again! The tour guides and team were extremely professional, organised, helpful and educating. After many paranormal nights on various locations this was in the top 2! The 5 of us finished the night on a high and felt we completely got our money's worth.. Looking forward... More

I was asked by my company to arrange a team building exercise. Plas teg was one of the venues chosen. I attended with a work friend to see if the venue was suitable. On my first visit I found the house to have all the makings of a good evening. after standing around waiting we were taken on a guided... More

I can totally second what Meg said in her review as we were on the same tour. Yes 2 of the team were kissing and cuddling when the lights went out (then they left early) and, especially towards the end of the night, there was so much banter and joking going on amongst the team members that it was hard... Myself and a friend went for the night tour around plas teg, it was brilliant and we experienced some activity however when you didn't experience any activity the tour guides where desperate to fill you're imagination with lies. One tour guide in particular was a compulsive liar, at times we felt the team had far too many inside jokes and... More

We had a lovely visit here. I would agree with the other reviews: make sure you bring a jumper even on a warm day and ring up to check that the tour is in fact on! The tour was very interesting and the owner (who gave the tour) obviously had a passion for the house. While the house is not... More

Visited today after years of curiosity as its a local landmark. 1st impressions being its not very clean inside which leaves a lasting impression throughout the tour. The guide was a pleasant young chap with good knowledge. The owner passed through occassionally with no input just interruption. Take a jumper or coat as despite it being a warm day inside... More

Tours were advertised for 2pm and 3pm. We arrived just after 3pm to find about 12 others waiting for the 3pm tour. The owner emerged from the locked front door at 3.20 pm to announce that she was too tired after hosting a paranormal evening the previous day to conduct the 3pm tour and please would we return next weekend....
