My 10 year old son & I had an incredible time on the water last weekend. We booked a guided canoe trip along the River Yare and around Rockland Broad from the RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen. Although it was pouring with rain as we started out, we enjoyed every minute. The welcome, the encyclopaedic knowledge of the local flora... More

My 15 year old and I loved this! It was really good fun being part of a group, even strangers! Our leader was lovely and helpful and it is a beautiful place to be. Gorgeous in the evening! Will definitely go again - fantastic activity.

Having not done it before, my wife an I tried paddle boarding on the broads. We received very good instruction all the way with a experienced instructor who was enthusiastic and humorous.. Will have to do it again albeit to take pictures as did not take a camera for fear of falling off.which turned out not to be a problem.... More

A short drive from the base in Wroxham by mini bus to a secret location close to the river Bure. We then had a 40 - 50 minute paddle to the hide out in a thick forest. The camp fire was soon ignited by our leader for the day (Monkey). In what seemed no time at all the kettle was... More

What a super trip we had, we arrived in torrential rain at the steam train stop, very quaint and a nice trip, we went to meet the organisers and shown how and what to do. I am 49 years old and had never been in a kayak before ( I was quite nervous to ). We then entered the river... More

I knew of Canoeman through friends and booked five kayaks for a half-day paddle on the river Bure. Incredible - a wonderful thing to do. We were on the water by 1.30 and gently paddled (including a short swim it was so lovely) until 4.15pm. We were helped with all the detail in advance, stunned by the natural beauty and... More

As a family we hired two canoes, travelling to Buxton by train, paddling back to Wroxham with one adult and one child in each canoe. This was a great family experience. We had no real canoe experience this showed as we ziz zagged down the river. The paddle in total is 14.5 km long, we were all pleased we did... More

If you are visiting The Canoe Man - or any of the many other attractions in the area - and are looking for accommodation - I can highly recommend Top Farm Camp Site. It's a fabulous location with the option of pitching a tent/caravan/motorhome or utilising one of the cosy, well equipped cabins. Quiet, peaceful and with some of the... More
