I drop my recommendation for the whale shark swimming right here. We did go out with the Kempinski organized Blue Lagoon Team. All the way into Tadjoura bay, around Arta Beach. We saw huge whale sharks, they are the most relaxed animals, maybe their genes tell them they have been around the planet for more than 60 mio years, nothing... More

Arta is a great place to see if you are in Djibouti. Is about 1h30min drive from Djibouti town. The beach is with stones, you do not have accommodations. You can camp if you choose too. We did not, but I saw some French people. The sea is wonderful; you can see plenty of fish if you snorkel or dive.... More
