I visited this statue just because i read it on 20th century boy manga. It is bizzare but one of a kind. Its ok to stop by if you want to visit the museum and park. Several time of a year, the park will have 'light up event' in winter, fall, and spring. At that time they will shoot video... More

Hmmm. How to describe this thing? Interesting whimsical monstrosity? Upon encountering this object within the Expo 70 Commemorative Park, it struck me as mildly amusing. Upon looking at photos afterward, I wonder what the park area might have been like had it been fully landscaped without this thing? I think, perhaps, the park could have been nicer.

If you're in Osaka and you've eaten enough, seen enough costume wearing girls, enjoyed the public baths to the full, and generally soaked up the city then this park might be just what you need. Interesting remains of an era. The expo part itself is a relaxing stroll, the MinPaku in the part is an excellent museum worth a visit of a few hours or multiple visits. 4- 5 stars
