We stumbled upon this theme park purely by accident while we were driving around trying to find something to eat near the Peace Memorial Park. We had no idea what this was, but decided to park and check it out to see if we could find a restaurant. When we got to the front gate, we discovered that this park... More

The cave system is a good length and offers views of different types of formations. The pathway through the cave is all metal walkways, so it is easy for the not-so-sure-footed. Prepare to get dripped on a bit as you walk through the moisture filled cave, and be sure to take a peek in the cave ponds. You can see... More

I have been to all the major tourist attractions in Japan over the last 15 years, and Okinawa World is as well maintained as any I have seen. The limestone cave is the largest I have seen in Japan, larger and wider than Akiyoshido. The stalactites are quite impressive. The route through the cave even gets tiring at the end, it... More

The gyokusendo cave is the coolest place in Okinawa in the summertime. If you have guests from out of town its a great place to see the Okinawan culture and check out these awe inspiring caves. I was not impressed how they make everyone go through the touristy shops to get to other areas of the park. This park is... More

The caves are fabulous, but the craft village isn't up to much. You can travel to the caves by yourself rather than by tour (bus) as you can get a local bus and it's much, much cheaper. Plus, you'll be able to take your time, last entry is at 5:00 pm as the place closes at 6:00 pm. Go early... More

Gyokusendo cave is the best attraction in this park. Very beautiful cave with a stream and small lakes, you can even see fishes there. For the cave I would give 10 points :) Only 850 meters of the cave are open to the public, which is difficult to understand. It's the second longest cave in the entire country. With a... More

Most people come to Okinawa for the beaches and scuba diving (which are awesome), but Okinawa World is definitely worth a visit as well. It is easily accessible by bus or tour from Naha and the fees are modest considering the size and variety of activities in the park. The highlight of the park is gyokusendo, a gigantic cave full... This place was great fun. The 3 things that really made it worthwhile were the snake show, the eisa show (Okinawan music and dancing show) and the cave. The cave was exceptionally long. It takes probably at least half an hour to walk through and the number of stalagmites and stalactites is astounding! Don't wear anything you don't want to... More

This is certainly a tourist location don't get my wrong but if you only have a day or two here on Okinawa and want to see some of the cool things that the island has to offer with a great deal of history and some underground caves. There is also a great deal of shopping here too which includes products... More

If you have never thought of going to see caves, this place is nice, and it's a good way to get out of the sun.
