The caves are amazing to walk through and I was happy to have the opportunity. However, like most things in Japan I think this is tourist trap. We did not pay extra for the snake show but I feel somewhat uncomfortable to look at snakes in captivity when these snakes may be indigenous to Japan and should be in the... More

Gyokusendo is one of Okinawa’s natural wonders that is worthy of a visit. An awesome natural limestone cavern, second largest in Japan, a natural beauty. If you have never experienced a limestone cavern, it is worth visiting….HOWEVER, do NOT purchase the additional ticket for the habu (Okinawan snake) verses mongoose show. Due to the Japanese version of PETA, the competition... More

The caves are interesting and quite large, with a under groud stream, very cool temp to get away from the hot sun during mid day! The village it self is nice in that the kids can blow their own glass, make paper clocks, weavings, cloth dyeing etc...(extra cost) but probably the easiest in terms of doing lots of crafts in... Do not visit. The Snake museum located at the front of the park demonstrates a clear disregard for the welfare of the captive animals. As you walk through the front doors of the museum you are confronted with 2 tanks filled with about 10 sea snakes each, more than half of which are dead and decomposing, with the others desperately... Despite the hot summer weather in Okinawa, the cave was nice and cooling! It's 800 metres long, so it took us about 30mins to complete the walk. It's important to have a good imagination to truly enjoy this cave! If you look closely at the stalactites, you can see them taking the shape of certain creatures/characters.. There is constantly water... More

We did a day trip to Okinawa world as part of our family visit to the island. The facility here was fascinating. We started our tour with a trip through the cave system. I have to admit I was very surprised to see the cave structure was an intricate series of underground rooms with stalactite an stalagmite formations and an... More

Here is one of good spots to visit on rainy day. The cave was amazing with nice lighting. Eisar, Okinawa dancing show was very energetic with drum & Okinawa guitar music.

Even though I am 21 years old, I found the park moderately fun. The cave is interesting for the first 5-10 minutes, but for the 20 minutes after that, you get to see more of the same stuff. The park is filled with little vendors and huts where you can experience "authentic" Okinawan cultural activities such as dying clothes or... More

- If you havent seen stalagmites and stalactites elsewhere before, then this you might find interesting. IMHO, here is quite boring. The cave is not overwhelming and far less presentable than others caves around the world - cave is hot, wet and humid, different from conditions I experienced elsewhere in other caves - less than 30 hour to tour the... Drum show was great, 3-d movie ($5) very good, Dr fish(dead skin on feet eating fish) an experience, watching pottery, glass, and paper exhibit interesting, tasting habusake weird. Somewhat commercial, with lots of stuff for sale, beer (dark) very good
