Overall a good experience although I found the farm and cafe in the village expensive. I enjoyed the birds of prey and staff were friendly.

I have visited this show many times over the years, but I fear this will be the last time. The price is still the same (£14) but the number of interesting attractions has dwindled significantly. It’s fine if you want a new car, double-glazing or sort your funeral out etc., but if you want working demonstrations of rural life go... More

The Essex country show was here, we thought it would be a nice day out but paying £14 each to get in a market wasn't so nice. Never again.

Thank you for your review. We are really surprised to hear your feedback and wonder how you seemed to miss so much that we had on offer. The Essex Country Show is a huge annual event and many of our visitors come for both the days as they cannot see everything in just one visit. We do have stalls but... More

We're so pleased to hear you recommend our Craft Village and Caffè. We do have a wide variety of breeds and types of animals in the Farm Park both inside the Animal Barn and out in the paddocks. We also have a timetable of animal activities including lamb bottle feeding and bird of prey shows. Visitors usually receive a copy... More

Visited today with my son he absolutely loves the farm. My only frustration is not with the park itself but the few selfish parents who insisted on saving the tractor toys (which I believe are for everyone to use) whilst their children are off busy playing on other activities. Try explaining to a 2 year old that even though nobody... More

Don't get me wrong we definitely had a nice day out but it was our first visit and was expecting it to be bigger and expected more animals for the price, found prices pretty steep and I'm not really sure why or how they are able to charge so much, my little one loved the railway ride which is included... everything about Barleylands is ok but nothing really stands out as great or exceptional. Taking into account the entrance fee is the same or similar to the nearby Marsh Farm it doesnt really come close in terms of what is offered or value for money. We have spent whole days at Marsh Farm but after a few hours here you... More

Thank you for visiting us and leaving your review. We do continually invest in our Farm Park and have recently added the sizeable undercover Animal Barn (which allows our visitors to get close to our farmyard friends in all weathers and for us run our animal activities), the indoor sand pit, outdoor Farmers Croquet, new toddler play equipment and a... Absolutely love the farm park, my son is nearly 2 and really enjoys everything from the animals, ride on diggers, play centre, tractor rides to the sandpit and train rides. Every time we've been the staff have been really chatty and friendly, shown my son different animals etc. Can't find fault with anything, lovely family day out!

We have visited Hazels Pottery Barn a few times now and it's great. The staff ALWAYS available with help and advice. You basically pay a price for the use of the paints then pay whatever the price is on the item you wish to paint. We stayed about 2 hours but obviously varies according to the size of the item... Thanks for your 5 star review. Hazels Pottery Barn is a great attribute in the Craft Village and we are delighted to hear your feedback. Also, well done for spotting our 5 star rating at La Bottega Caffe and Deli, which you are right in saying is popular.. but hopefully reflects the quality. Next time we would definitely recommend their... More
