We came here on Valentine's day with our daughter and was expecting to spend the majority of the day there but was done within two hours and that includes the farmers market and the craft village. It is a nice place and we enjoyed the farmers market where we got nice coffee beans and found a good sausage supplier. The... More

Unique place to visit - lots of small units offering hand crafted goods - jewellery, glass blowing, ornaments etc, plus toy shops, fancy dress, art shop, etc etc. Very nice restaurant plus a coffee shop. They have a farmers market twice a month on a Saturday - there are some really good stall holders although unfortunately it's quite a small... More

Having already visited an amazing farm park in Cumbria, we were really looking forward to our trip to Barleylands but were met with disinterested staff and completely disengaged child-minders. The craft village was nice but not enough of a reason to visit. Unless you're very local and have run out of all other ideas, I'd probably give it miss.

We’re sorry you were disappointed when you visited. Our staff are usually enthusiastic and helpful and we are sorry this was not your experience. We know how important this is to our visitors and we do take feedback seriously. When visitors arrive they are given a map and a timetable of activities that day. We don’t know when you visited... Have to say I have seen Barleylands grow over the years. It used to be just a little village farm shop and now it is this huge place full of interesting things to do for people of all ages. Definitely worth a visit although I would try and do this during the week rather than at the weekends .

We visited Barleylands for the Christmas experience the Monday before Christamas. It was excellent! The Santa was very realistic, with his own beard too! He spent time asking the children questions and telling tales of his life as santa, my daughter sat there in awe of him. The male elf was very friendly (not that I can say the same... More

This is a good place to go for what ever you think you might want to do. It has small farm animals for kids to pet, it has a farm shop that stocks just about everything and a thriving community of shops that do everything from bespoke glass blowing to shortening ya trousers.

Went for day out with daughter and 2 year old granddaughter, loved everything about it....bought animal food on way in, at 57, I've never fed animals so couldn't wait! Started off with lunch in cafe and was pleasantly surprised at price and value for money. As it was a crisp day, 30th November, but bright and sunny we spent ages... More

We’re really disappointed to hear your feedback. We're not sure what timeslot you had to visit Father Christmas but we are very sorry if you weren't advised the Farm Park officially closed at 4pm. That said we are keeping the Farm Park open an extra half an hour or so each day to ensure those coming to see Father Christmas... More

Here at Barleylands we only hire the space to the event company that organise the Christmas Parties (Best Parties Ever). The events are not ours so we would ask you very politely if you could remove this review and feedback to them directly. Many thanks in advance. More

Barleylands is a mixture of independent unit shops and a farm park for families . You can spend a full day or just a couple of hours browsing, but I doubt you would resist the temptation to buy. It hosts some unusual shops, like ashes to glass, where you can have the ashes of loved ones made into jewellery or... More
