This is more a theme park experience rather than a nature experience. It's great for the kids (we have a 3 yo and a 12 yo, who enjoyed it thoroughly). I was expecting real caves where you go inside and explore. These are more like rocks pushed together by glaciers to form caverns. Still pretty cool.

The ladies and i ventured here to go and view the Caves --one of my sisters is handicapped because of back problems so figured she would not be able to visit the caves-----we explored the gift shop and learned that you should have running shoes or hiking boots for this adventure and since we were all wearing sandals--and heard that... Being a retired couple, we wanted to do some adventure and joined our two other retired couple friends. This provided a great adventure as it was possible to do the tree canopy walk in safety and still feel the adrenalin. Walking in the lush forest was ecologically refreshing and the views of the lake was breathtaking. The zip lining was... More

Zip line was closed, but the trail and cable bridge revealed breath taking views of the Georgian Bay and valley. There were educational nuggets along the path. Plenty to do for tiny hikers with gemstone mining and park. The track kept us engaged the entire 2 hours we were out. Must do or stop, when in Collingwood.

Very interesting places; easy hike; caves and bridge should take at most 3 hours, including some time for the kids at the playground. Nice view from up top. The kids and wife were all quite pleased with hour day trip. Also, we found some really nice things in the gift shop. Very well maintained and organized. It is quite expensive... More

You really need sneakers or hiking shoes as the paths are rocky and slippery. There are lots climbing—be prepared. Good exercise to burn calories. Cooler in some spots so better bring a sweater or a jacket.

Thanks so much Gerry for your five star review. Proper footwear is imperative - we couldn’t agree more. We try and emphasize the importance of fully-closed running/hiking shoes everywhere we can. Good treads are key. To be clear, guests walk through the caves/caverns trails. There is no rock/cave climbing per se. There are several steep sections with steel stairs as... More

This was an amazing adventure. The tour guides were very experienced, professional and fun to walk with. They always made sure that everyone was comfortable and safe. The treetop walk was a little scary but exhilarating at the same time. The zip line was just mind blowing. Was on my bucket list :) and so glad that I did it.... More

My girlfriends took me to the Scenic Caves as part of my Bachelorette weekend getaway. I really enjoyed the self-guided tour throughout the caves, where in May you can still see snow and ice. It took us at least an hour to explore including checking out the longest suspension foot bridge in Southern Ontario! Great views throughout the tour. I... More

Thanks for your glowing five star review. We’ve had many bachelorette, bachelor and family reunions visit Scenic Caves to mark a special occasion. It’s a fantastic location to make memories and take photos. When you return as a married couple, why not reserve a 3-hour guided Eco Adventure Tour which involves treetop walking and ziplining? Or the two of you... More

Thank you! We try our hardest to ‘rock’ and be ‘cool’ at Scenic Caves. Speaking of ‘cool’, it can be cool in some of the caves, like the ‘Refrigerator Cave’ which retains ice all summer long. The trails require running/hiking shoes with good treads – we can’t emphasize this enough. Everyone’s favourite lookouts include: Suspension Bridge and at the Thunderbird... More

Costed 192$ for the two of us but it's worth every bit of it. Zip lining twice and Tree Top Walking. Friendly staff. Duration of the Tour is 3 hours. If you take this tour you get Twin Zip lining for 10$ each which is super fun. You can control your speed on this. Or you can Buy tickets and... More

Thank you for your five star review of the Eco Adventure Tour. We enjoy hearing that the price “is worth every bit of it”. Two enthusiastic guides lead each 3-hour tour, informing guests about the flora/fauna/ geology of this designated UNESCO biosphere as well as the history/legends of the First Nation’s Petun tribe. As you noted, there is a 330... More
