We went with our 6 and 9 year old and had a great time. The suspension bridge does offer a great view, but really goes nowhere. The caves is a great hike, you could zip through in an hour but you can easily spend 90 minutes to 2 hours if you take time to appreciate the stops and climb a... More

I was a little concerned when I read that Scenic Caves is privately owned. Being in a foreign country, I wasn't sure what the rules would be in terms of inspections, maintenance, insurance, etc. I would have been more comfortable if this were a national park with government management. It turns out my concerns were completely unfounded. The property is... More

I stopped here as part of a longer road trip in 2013. It was a well maintained property and i purchased the combined zip line and caves for about $50. The caves were good exercise to hike around with some tight spots that only a child could fit easily through, and the zip lines were mildly entertaining for me. Probably... More

Last year I went to the Scenic Caves with my girlfriend and her family. We had a great time there. The few things we did there were hiking, mini-putting, zip-lining, and walking over a suspension bridge that outlooked over the Escarpment and the Georgian Bay. The initial entry to get into the park is roughly twenty-dollars. But that only gives... More

We did the 3 hour guided eco adventure tour. We were a family of four (with 2 teenage boys). We had a great time. Safety is very important to the guides that take you on this tour. I don't know how many times they kept checking our equipment! It was nice to see the safety awareness. Also, my husband had... More

Just came back from a weekend at Blue Mountain and wanted to review our trip to the Scenic Caves right away. I went with my wife and 6 year old son and we had an awesome time. First and foremost we really enjoyed the hike to and through the caves. Don't worry if you're afraid of the dark, you won't... More

Went with our six year old - he doesn't like caves so we didn't go in but did all the other activities - mini golf, bridge, wagon ride, train ride, mining for gems. It was fun.

Thanks for visiting and commenting on all the things you did. We recommend that children must be able to walk securely on their own in order to explore the geological formations. The caves are not dark and scary, requiring hardhats and flashlights. Rather, they are a mixture of caves (which you can bypass), huge crevasses and boulders, deep caverns and... More

It's a fun adventure and experience that I will never forget. Would definitely recommend it all. We stayed At a bed and breakfast nearby and would do it all over agin.

I visited the Scenic Caves today with my family. It was our first time visiting I had only driven by it in the past. We purchased general admission with zip lining. As it was nearly 30C I had a good sweat by the time I reached the top, my kids had fun climbing over and thru the escarpment rocks. I... More

So pleased your family enjoyed the Thunderbird Twin Zipline Package and challenged yourself to the exhilaration of ‘plunging down the escarpment’. What a good sport you are. Youth must be 10 years of age, and if between the ages of 10 – 15, need to be accompanied by an adult. Height and weight restrictions also apply. On a hot day,... More

Visited the Scenic Caves with my wife and we were very surprised on how beautiful it was. Be prepared to do a lot of walking uphill, downhill, over rocks and under rocks. Wear hiking shoes or a good pair of running shoes. Also water would be a good idea. There are other trails you can go on. There is also... More

Thank you for pointing out ‘how beautiful’ our location is. The views from the top of the escarpment trails, from the Thunderbird Twin Zip Line and from the Suspension Bridge are truly extraordinary. Footwear with closed toes and heels is a necessity for guest safety and comfort. If you’re thirsty and forget to bring water, there’s a beverage stop at... More
