Went for the first time to snowshoe the trails with my husband. Really well marked and groomed. Enjoyed to variety of flat vs hills. Be careful around the ski trails as the snowshoe trails cross over them a few times. Make sure you step over so the x-country trails don't get chewed up. A few great look outs that are... More

Dear Verity – thank you for daytripping to our Nordic Centre this winter. We truly appreciate your five star rating and animated description of our ‘top quality’ trails, value and friendly staff. It sounds as though you are experienced snowshoers if you explored all 10 km. of trails. We’re equally pleased that you were ‘wowed’ by the lookouts. When you... More

I went here on my last trip to Blue Mountain and had lot of fun! I did both snowshoeing and cross country skiing and had a great time doing both! And also the trails are nice and beautiful. I would highly recommend it.

We went for cross country skiing at Scenic Cave. It is a fantastic place. The trails are set up as Easy, Moderate and Difficult. This is helpful as we are non skiers. They also offer snow shoeing but we did not try it I will strongly recommend taking a walk to the suspension bridge Though food is available there, yet... More

Thank you for your five star rating of our Nordic Centre. Whether you are a non-skier or an experienced enthusiast, we have 27 km. of groomed trails to please every skier. Cross-country skiers take their skis off and walk down to the suspension bridge. It’s well worth the diversion because of the 10,000 sq. km. of amazing views of south... More

Eduardo, thank you for this five-star rating of our night snowshoe hikes. Like yours, families who have reserved a hike have been enthusiastic in their enjoyment. We do recommend a minimum age of 8-10 because the hike is about 2 hours in length and follows the natural ups and downs of the Niagara Escarpment terrain. When you return this summer,... More

Went here for the first time to try classic cross country skiing. No instructors or lessons available during the weekdays. We learned on our own and it was not busy at all on the trails so it was fairly easy to practice without worrying about bumping into people. The groomed trails made it very easy to learn.

Diana, we’re so pleased you chose Scenic Caves Nordic for your first cross-country ski experience. Our instructors are more available on the weekends, however if you reserve well in advance, we are sometimes able to provide lessons during weekdays. As with most centres, weekdays are generally less busy. But even on weekends, there are 27 km of trails for guests... More

This was very cool and a prelude to our caving trip in Alberta. The kids loved it (Ok so did I). Really fun thing to do with the kids and be outside too. Lots of good pics.

Thank you for remembering to share your family experience from last spring. Exploring the caves, caverns and crevasses brings out the kid in all of us! There are so many lookout points and interesting cave locations…a camera (or cell phone camera) is a must for capturing memories. We love to receive photos via Facebook, Twitter or by sending us an... More

Awesome. And a good walk. Lots of history. Some attractions have a small line up but worth the wait. Zip lining rocks.

Thanks Rick, for reviewing Scenic Caves summer activities you experienced last summer. Some of the caves are definitely ‘cool’, like the famous ‘Refrigerator Cave’. During the busiest summer months during the mid-day hours, sometimes there are short line-ups for the most popular caves, but guests generally move right along. Good hiking boots/running shoes are required since there is a fair... More

They have the largest zip line in the world. It goes from mountain to mountain. We dud the excursion where you walk up in the tree tops and then did added zip line at top of mountain

Thank you for sharing your exuberance regarding the Thunderbird Twin Zip Line. We don’t lay claim to being the ‘largest’ in the world. The Thunderbird is the longest ‘twin’ zip in Canada – a half mile of thrill as you ride side-by-side with a friend. What is also unique is that each rider can control their own ride speed. We’re... Just cross country skiied here this weekend. If you watch ahead of time, you can get discounted tickets. I rented skis and was given a pair of new skis. Thank you for visiting during the winter and recommending our Nordic Centre as a ‘great place’ . The property is set on 400 acres high atop the Niagara Escarpment, so the views are outstanding and the terrain does offer many gradual ups and downs. In addition to the nordic ski trails, there are 10 km. of dedicated snowshoe trails to... More
