We just returned from a visit to the Scenic Caves Nature Adventures. We purchased the package that includes the zip line and were pleasantly surprised to see that there was a $10 off summer special for this package! We thoroughly enjoyed the hike through the caves up the mountain to where the zip line took place. However it would have... More

The natural caves are quite interesting, and the owners of this attraction have done a good job of creating hand rails and stairs in parts of the trail where needed without being intrusive on nature. Entry fee seems a little pricey for the over-all experience, but it is worth a visit. Tip to be aware of, when they tell you... More

The park is beautifully maintained, staffed with friendly and pleasant people, and the view from the bridge and zip line are breath taking! If the zip line is the reason for your visit, you have no choice but to purchase the full package ($54 per person) because it is located well into the park and can only be accessed by... More

Your testimonial is one of the most comprehensive, flattering endorsements we have received. You have captured the essence of our business mandate as a guardian of this unique Canadian UNESCO biosphere reserve. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience in such detail. We hope you consider returning in the winter to see it transform into a sparkling... More

We went with our 6 and 9 year old and had a great time. The suspension bridge does offer a great view, but really goes nowhere. The caves is a great hike, you could zip through in an hour but you can easily spend 90 minutes to 2 hours if you take time to appreciate the stops and climb a... More

Great times, great hikes and great views – what a great experience you had. Visitors can easily spend the day adventuring, relaxing, exploring, picnicing. We like to think that crossing over the escarpment valley on the iconic suspension footbridge is a destination unto itself. In the winter, you can snowshoe over it and continue on the marked trails. When the... More

I was a little concerned when I read that Scenic Caves is privately owned. Being in a foreign country, I wasn't sure what the rules would be in terms of inspections, maintenance, insurance, etc. I would have been more comfortable if this were a national park with government management. It turns out my concerns were completely unfounded. The property is... More

Thank you for visiting and sharing your positive experience. Many visitors assume Scenic Caves is provincially funded and managed by the government, as the National Parks in Canada are. The property was purchased in 1993 by the Thorburn family, with a vision to protect this historically and ecologically significant location part of the Niagara Escarpment. The owners have successfully developed... More

I stopped here as part of a longer road trip in 2013. It was a well maintained property and i purchased the combined zip line and caves for about $50. The caves were good exercise to hike around with some tight spots that only a child could fit easily through, and the zip lines were mildly entertaining for me. Probably... More

Rating our property as a good family outing is greatly appreciated. We offer nature, history, light entertainment and a variety of activities appealing to all ages. The Thunderbird Twin Zip Line is very safe. While soaring down 2550 feet, it feels like you’re flying through the trees. Never fear, even if you are twirling sideways, you cannot touch the trees.... Last year I went to the Scenic Caves with my girlfriend and her family. We had a great time there. The few things we did there were hiking, mini-putting, zip-lining, and walking over a suspension bridge that outlooked over the Escarpment and the Georgian Bay. The initial entry to get into the park is roughly twenty-dollars. But that only gives... More

Thank you for commenting on the fun you had last summer and the marvelous view. Rather than paying separately for each activity, the package price admission gives a guest all day access to the beautifully manicured park grounds, eighteen points of interest through the caves/caverns, the 420 ft. suspension footbridge, Canada’s longest Twin Zip Line, wagon ride, children’s adventure playground,... We did the 3 hour guided eco adventure tour. We were a family of four (with 2 teenage boys). We had a great time. Safety is very important to the guides that take you on this tour. I don't know how many times they kept checking our equipment! It was nice to see the safety awareness. Also, my husband had... More

Just came back from a weekend at Blue Mountain and wanted to review our trip to the Scenic Caves right away. I went with my wife and 6 year old son and we had an awesome time. Went with our six year old - he doesn't like caves so we didn't go in but did all the other activities - mini golf, bridge, wagon ride, train ride, mining for gems. It was fun.

Thanks for visiting and commenting on all the things you did. We recommend that children must be able to walk securely on their own in order to explore the geological formations. The caves are not dark and scary, requiring hardhats and flashlights. Rather, they are a mixture of caves (which you can bypass), huge crevasses and boulders, deep caverns and... More
