The caves were dissapointing... I was expecting trails going deep underground into the escarpment... This was basically rock climbing. It was interesting but disappointing. Credit to the owners... They are making the most of the attraction and the whole grounds and park were nice. Also disappointed the zipwire was closed due to rain , even though it was off and... More

Went to Scenic Caves while staying at an Intrawest house on the Blue Mountain resort property. Scenic caves are fun, some are cold and iced but all are wet lit and easy to navigate. May be a bit too touristy for some who prefer to go in with head lamps. The suspension bridge is shorter than one would think and... More

Dear Tony: Thank you for visiting in the spring time. Indeed, it can be cool in month of May which is why we encourage guests to layer their clothes and wear hiking/running shoes with good treads. As you observed, you do not need head lamps, ropes or climbing gear to explore the caves, crevasse and cavern chambers. Young and old... More

I gave this a 4 star rating because of the zip line. Without the zip line (or the Eco Adventure tour), I would have rated it lower. We didn't go on the eco tour, but we walked the trail and rocky paths, and poked our heads in the caves- the caves don't go very deep; they aren't caverns. We had... More

Thank you for day tripping from Toronto to experience a self-guided tour of Scenic Caves and ride the Thunderbird Twin Zipline. The attraction is best described as a trail of caves, caverns and crevasses carved by glacial ice, which began forming over 450 million years ago. We’re delighted that your whole family enjoyed the Thunderbird – it is our newest... More

While in the Collingwood area it was something I definitely wanted to experience. For some unknown reason I was under the impression this was a provincial park or heritage site because of the native history. Which of course it isn't. The owners of the attraction have done a fantastic job incorporating this into a family and adult friendly place. The... More

We love to hear from ‘Happy Canadians”! You are not the only one…many visitors are unaware that Scenic Caves is a privately owned and operated attraction. The owner has continually improved the amenities and activities since he purchased the business twenty-two years ago. A Nordic Centre has been established, offering cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The treetop canopy walk and ziplines... More

Great to visit once. This was my second trip and it was fun, but I do not need to visit again. Very crowded on a Saturday. Long line up for tickets. They should have a line up for groups purchasing tickets. Ladies washroom needs more stalls. As with first visit, disappointed that there isn't really caves, and therefore somewhat pricey... More

Dear Brenda: Thank you for returning to visit Scenic Caves with your family and friends. We’re so pleased your son enjoyed exploring the caves, caverns and crevasses. Like many attractions, the summer months can be busy on weekends. We recommend guests plan to arrive earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid line-ups. Additional washrooms are a... Caves worth a visit and views are lovely from the suspension bridge, but you MUST do the zip wire (total cost of all 3 around £20/$40 CAD). Half mile wire you can control the speed to some degree, over trees- wonderful views, not too fast.

Dear Kathryn: We love to hear from international guests about their Scenic Caves adventures. The Thunderbird Twin Zipline is the longest twin zip in Canada. As you experienced, the technology is dynamically controlled by each guest. Riders can zip up to 60-70 km per hour, or take it slower to savour the spectacular views. Thank you for your five star... Dear Nano: Thank you for lovin’ Scenic Caves and for your five star recommendation. The property is situated in a designated UNESCO biosphere reserve. The trails are natural, leading through the forest and down into the rocky caves/caverns/crevasses with boulders to walk around and crevasses to squeeze through. This outdoor attraction is open rain or shine and we request guests... More
