This building is in fabulous condition. The gallery is really a testament to a respected local sultan. You need to remove your shoes which is ok but I don't understand why you can't take photos. However this is a really interesting place and gives a real insight to the life of a royal person.

Was just driving around Kuala Kangsar and saw this place. Decided to take a look. It's a well kept museum of the private collections of Sultan Azlan Shah (current Sultan of Perak) from when he was young until now. You can learn more about Sultan Azlan Shah by visiting this museum. The architecture of the place is also very nice.... More

It's stunning on the outside. If you've been to you the mosque you'll have passed by this building. It was not obvious you could go inside but accordingly reviews can.

This place gives an insight into what made Sultan Azlan Shah the man he was. There's detailed account of his upbringing, his education and some of his handwritten court judgements still referred till today. The place itself is majestic and beautiful. We were all amazed!

what a big collection of gifts and souvenirs of the sultan. Very interesting collection and one can learn a lot about the historey of Perak and the life of the sultan. Some rooms, which have no aircondition are a bit sticky with bad air circulation.

This place was not on our itinerary. We only decided to go there last minute cos we had extra time. What a good choice it was! This whole area was just beautiful - buildings, compound, everything. We also went to a little pavilion at the side, which was very comfortable and cooling to sit in on a very hot day.... More

Kuala Kangsar is an open town. By open I men not jam packed. I walked from the bus station to the museum and onto the Mosque. Delightful walk about 3 kms. The museum itself is a dedication to the current high highness. The fashionable gar is quite nice but displays of his gold, glasses collection a bit ho-hum but then... More
