Beautiful beach on a beautiful coastline

Quiet at this time of year. Sleepy even. Great surf. Lovely spot to wander between the surf and the river outlet.

Love this beach. We were there with two teenagers and two little ones. Perfect for both. The sea comes in and joins the river which makes it a shallow pool for a paddle with a little inflatable boat. Restaurant is great too. Very friendly staff and lovely food.

Cool weather mid-morning on Monday after Easter - a lone surfer being watched by a lonely partner looking constantly out to see to spot a bobbing head searching for the next wave. Good for picnic on a warm sunny day - never crowded.

The beach has golden soft sand and so was comfortable to walk barefoot on. It wasn't that busy; a variety of touring families and retired travellers, a few terns... More

Amazing View of the beach from parking are on cliffs, golden sand and very clean, maybe not so good for families as quite a walk down to beach and then a climb back up.

A broad expanse of sand interestingly located at the river estuary. Fascinating cliffs, rocks and caves.

Bird watching, beautiful beach and walking or just doing nothing. But limited sunshine hours because its protected by mountains each side.

Breath taking scenery, golden sand, magic sea, invigorating water -- why travel far when there are such treasures in Europe?
