It is a truly beautiful beach, one side sea and the other the river. It is easy to find and there is no shortage of parking.

We did one of the Fisherman's walks from the Rota Vincentina guide book and this lead us to Odeceixe Beach, it's a stunning place where the river meets the sea and there was plenty of space on the beach despite the carparks and the road out of the village being packed with vehicles. We didn't use the beach but did... More

Beautiful beach and a must for surfers. The waves can be full on at certain times of the day so if you are a beginner, try going when the tide is going in or coming out. There's a surf school and equipment hire plus a lovely cafe which does veggie burgers :)

A very pleasant beach. Not crowded and very well situated. Also a nice place for surfers. The interaction of the Ocean and the river is magnificent. Around the beach is a very interesting fishermen's-trail and the Rota Vicentina.

To be exact, there are two sides to Odeceixe: the old village a few miles inland by the river and the seaside part. Much has already been said about this beautiful beach set between cliffs and at the mouth of a river. It is a paradise for both beach goers and surfers. There is a nice café with a terrace,... More

Lovely beach with estuary. Ideal for swimming. Sea can be a bit rough but the scenery is just fantastic. Rural beach no high rise buildings, been the same for years.

We visited here to watch the sea very pretty water was very rough great for surfing. Calm river for the kids to paddle. We found a dead dolphin which upset the kids but it was moved not long after. Down side very steep walk down and up to car. Only let down was food took agers to be served and... More

Twice we visited this beautiful beach. High, good surfing waves, a river streaming down to the sea, dramatic cliffs at both sides of the beach, a broad sandy beach to do sunbathing, even mid October, good parking, a surf school, everything you want is there, unless you are looking for a good restaurant.
