It is hike down, and it was very difficult to hunt down the unmarked roads to get here. YOU WANT to BE here! It is everything you read about and MORE. Just a hint, Bring your own water unless you want to spend 5 euro for a litter at the top of the hike back out.

This beach is very wide. So perfect for playing beach ball, when we have been there, they had installed as well a volleyball net. The waves were great fun for the kids.

There are several cliff beaches in Portugal but Odeceixe is probably the best of all, mainly due to the particular landscape which includes a river with a beautiful shape and scope and also to the moderate access difficulty (usually beaches of this type have even more difficult access).

This is a beautiful surfing beach in the far North of the Algarve on the wild Western coast. The view looking over the beach is fantastic and the beach itself has a slow moving, brackish river that connects with it into the sea. This is helpful because the ocean can be quite choppy and dangerous, hence its popularity with surfers.... More

Beautiful town with windmill on the hill. Beach at same location where the rove come into the see, giving a stunning landscape. There is a second cosy beach south of the main beach, which is a lovely place for a romantic sunbath and sun set. Plenty of parking (end Sep-2015) for cars and campers.

Amazing weather, very cool beach, lots of space with low tide, not so much with high tide, but still very good. Renting nautical sports it's also a very good choice. Great restaurants nearby and great prices.

This is a great beach for all the family, with lots of space, but if you want a little more peace you can walk down the beach and round the rocks to the naturist part, where it is usually less crowded! The best thing is to play in the river on the incoming tide, lots of fun to try and... More
