I was staying in Amorosa and decided to visit this area. It's just so peaceful and beautiful with the added bonus of a lovely beach for sun worshippers and of course waves for surfers. Small restaurant " Paraiso do Mar" overlooking the sea where we ate a lunch of sardines.

Fantastic beach, Very easy to park your car. It's a very long beach so there is a lot of space for every one even for surf schools with hundreds of students, Very nice view and very nice water and sand,

Another beauty of Aljezur - broad beach good for surfing, bar with wifi available. Great views on the way to the beach from Aljezur.

Great for kids and also for surfers. Excellent paradise for photographers, especially early in the morning. The nearest parking lot is small, but there's one bigger if you don't mind to walk about 500, 600m.

Beautifull location. It has a unique feature, because a river meets the ocean there, creating a warm water for bathing. Great for kids!!

We were a group of 6 including 2 children aged 11 and 14 and having visited Arrifana, Monte Clerigo and Amoreira beaches we settled on this as our favourite and spent some great days here! The waves were amazing and as the sea bed was completely sand we didn't have to worry about rocks whilst enjoying them. Alternatively there was... More

In the search of what Portugal had to offer beyond the crowded beaches on the Algarve we came here, oh and how glad we are that we did. If you love busy beaches with dozens of restaurants and people trying to sell you stuff - stay South. If you have a car, imagination, a desire for adventure then go!! There... More

Apologies for the corny title but this phrase was constantly in my head when I visited Praia da Amoreira, being from a seaside town in England. This beach was fantastic, clear sand, blue sea, decent waves and more! The restaurant was in the perfect location and I set off on a walk which took me right around the beach and... More
