A great day out, get up close with some beautiful animals. They all seemed healthy and well cared for. I would recommend to anyone

Dear Friends, If you really love animals, please do not visit aquariums. Orcas and Dolphins are some of the most intelligent of sea animals in the world and they don't survive in captivity for more than ten years. These animals are under immense stress due to the captive environment and separation from their own pod and to top it all,... More

Kamogawa Sea World is located just in front of the beach. It`s a great and refreshing location. A cool getaway from Tokyo and quick to reach if you have a car. I really enjoyed the orca show and the interaction of the trainers with the orcas. It seems they really care for their whales. The aera is quite big with... More

This aquarium, while being one of the only aquariums in Japan to feature orcas (killer whales) is a far cry from the Sea Worlds overseas. The facilities look extremely run down and poorly maintained, the animals seem to have fungal infections and growths on them (even the Sun Fish mascot, in its own private tank, had serious mouth rot), and... Kamogawa Sea world is quite a nice place to visit. There are quite a large number of sea creatures in this aquarium. The aquarium is nicely decorated. The best thing is the performances by the Sea World. Those include Dolphins, Killer Whale, Seals and Beluga. The best performance for me is the Killer Whale performance. The interaction of the trainers... More

We started our Vacations in Japan this September, 2012 with a visit to Kamogawa Sea World. What a lovely and refreshing start it was. Sea World is just "on" the Pacific Ocean, the ocean looking like an extension of it into the far horizons beyond. Thousands of sea creatures are there to look at and be amazed, from giants ones... Kamogawa Seaworld is not large, and there are only four shows: Beluga whales, seals, dolphins, and the killer whales. Each show lasts about 20 minutes and showtimes vary. There is also a very good aquarium, a walrus and a few other assorted sea animals. The secret is to arrive when SeaWorld opens, see the acquarium, and then follow the shows... More

The Orca show was fabulous. My kids couldn't get enough of it. Watching the trainers ride on the orca while it pushed them out of the water into a swan dive was impressive. The other shows were also entertaining. The beluga whale show was less crowded and the most amazing to me as an adult.
