We traveled around by the special animal shaped bus. it was a nice experience. In beginning of the tour they provided us food to feed the animals. During the tour we could feed bears lions camels and Llamas. It was a different experience.

We drove ourselves to the park. The entrance fee includes the tour of the park in your own car. You have to have the windows up and the doors locked but you do get to see the animals up close, and we were able to take our time as the park was not crowded. One of the distressing things that... Not a fan of zoos but this was a nice way to see the wiled animals. you drive around the animals or could rent a car with a driver that could sometimes show you how to feed the animals as well. It was specially cool for us because a lion walk in front of the car the other parts of... More

It is awesome. Especially a bus ride which takes you in the jungle. You can feed lion, camel, and bear. Its truely an amazing experience. Its close to Mount Fuji so one can enjoy wandering here and there with THE MOUNT FUJI at your sideways :)

If you love nature and animals, do not miss this zoo - Fuji Safari. It's a wonderful place to bring you closer to wildlife. Because, they don't "imprison" animals in caves as other usual zoos. The animals are allowed to act in very huge spaces, so they can run and chase each other. You will be in a coach and... More

Baby lion is so cute! We waited for 30 minutes just for the photo taking with the baby lions. Actual hugging was less than 40 seconds I believe but my daughter really liked the moment. Very nice to have many activities including horse riding, feeding kangaroos and pony derby. Safari itself is somewhat short and not that rich. Feeding while... More

Interesting park.. You have the option of driving through, riding through in a bus w/ the option to feed the animals or you can walk through. Great photo opportunities when the animals come up to the bus to feed. It kind of reminded me of Jurassic Park with all of the fences and so forth, but that's for everyone's safety... More

I am not someone who hates all zoos. In fact there is a great zoo in Tama. SOme zoos do good work. However me and my children actually left this place in tears at the state of the animals. The horses were poorly kept, and a few of the minature horses looked actually underfed and very thin. The safari exhibit... More

Safari Park is quite interesting. You have the options of driving your own (or rental) car thru, renting a 'Safari Jeep' there, or ride in the Park bus. I recommend taking at least two of the offers; we drove our car thru, then rode the Bus. With your own car, you can take your time. With the bus, you get... More

When you first go in, there are three houses that you can go into: the dog, cat, or rabbit house. Each one costs 500 yen to go into, but it is truly worth stopping in one of the houses if you have time. Then, they have an area like a normal zoo, where visitors can see bears, hyenas, and porcupines... More
