If you love nature and animals, do not miss this zoo - Fuji Safari. It's a wonderful place to bring you closer to wildlife. Because, they don't "imprison" animals in caves as other usual zoos. The animals are allowed to act in very huge spaces, so they can run and chase each other. You will be in a coach and... More

Baby lion is so cute! We waited for 30 minutes just for the photo taking with the baby lions. Actual hugging was less than 40 seconds I believe but my daughter really liked the moment. Very nice to have many activities including horse riding, feeding kangaroos and pony derby. Safari itself is somewhat short and not that rich. Feeding while... More

Interesting park.. You have the option of driving through, riding through in a bus w/ the option to feed the animals or you can walk through. Great photo opportunities when the animals come up to the bus to feed. It kind of reminded me of Jurassic Park with all of the fences and so forth, but that's for everyone's safety... More

I am not someone who hates all zoos. In fact there is a great zoo in Tama. SOme zoos do good work. However me and my children actually left this place in tears at the state of the animals. The horses were poorly kept, and a few of the minature horses looked actually underfed and very thin. The safari exhibit... More

Safari Park is quite interesting. You have the options of driving your own (or rental) car thru, renting a 'Safari Jeep' there, or ride in the Park bus. I recommend taking at least two of the offers; we drove our car thru, then rode the Bus. With your own car, you can take your time. With the bus, you get... More

When you first go in, there are three houses that you can go into: the dog, cat, or rabbit house. Each one costs 500 yen to go into, but it is truly worth stopping in one of the houses if you have time. Then, they have an area like a normal zoo, where visitors can see bears, hyenas, and porcupines... More

This was the first experience where we were roaming around in a car and the animals were just roaming around it. Loved the overall experience. This is any time better than the normal zoo. Went in a friend's car, so had the luxury of going at our own pace. Got many beautiful clicks of the animals. You could always find... More

This is my first time to a safari. Came here with some friends and I was surprised to see so many wild animals roaming within the safari site. Experience was unforgettable and felt like I was in the Jurassic park movie. All the other car drivers were cautious and considerate which I think is important to avoid accidents or traffic... More
